Im living with my older brother so, the baby's nursery is my bedroom. I wanted black furniture so it would match mine & my red walls. My brother picked this crib & the matching combo unit out because he knew i wanted black furniture & him and his friend put them together while i was at work, came home to find them set up and waiting for me to tell him where to move it. It matches pretty well with my furniture & with the crib set, although i had a little bit of trouble putting the bumper pad on it, that wasnt hard to fix. the mattress i have is a bit tight because its slightly bigger then the standard mattress which is good cause it only leaves a very small space between the mattress and the frame. its sturdy, as ive used it with my friend's twins when she was here last month and it adjusted well to the teething twin terrors.( she loved the crib.) i didnt dare rate it 5 star's because Lili's not going to be here for another month, so hopefully it will keep the rating..

Looks good from far away. Easy to assemble. We bought the three piece set and spent two times less on this furniture than my first childs set that we spent thousands on at the Babys Room. So far my 11 month old has had black paint all over her mouth and hands from the crib. Mattress fits really tight in this crib its hard to get in and out. All of the pieces in this set scratch very easy. [...] The only way to dust this is with a dry cloth . Overall poorly made but does look nice from far away. Will never buy painted furniture again, stained is the only way to go.

the crib is great but there is no conversion kit and they do not tell you that when you buy this expensive crib. Other cribs are cheaper and come with conversions kits or you can purchase them for $75 more.

So easy to put together (didn't need the man at all) and so beautiful! I couldn't be happier. Not the least expensive one out there, but you get what you pay for and this crib is worth every penny

We saw this crib in the store and fell in love with it instantly! It was a frustrating experience researching all the crib options online, but after viewing this crib in person and being able to feel how sturdy and durable it was, we knew this was the crib for us! The crib looks very "rich" and we plan on using it throughout our daughters childhood (also bought the conversion rails). [...] relatively easy to put together - only took about an hour total. We are excited to have our daughter use it in 8 weeks and are very happy with our experience so far!

This bed was so easy to put together it took my husband I 30 minutes. Looks very epensive and the price was reasonable. Everyone loves this bed.

We purchased this crib once when we thought we were having only one child, and were fairly happy with it. The pieces did not fit 100% together[...]When we found out we were having twins, we had to purchase a second one. [...] Three cribs, none of them looking new!This is a nice looking piece of furniture overall and seems like it will function great, but for what you are paying, it's frustrating to not receive it looking like a new crib should! This is a nice, solid crib that was easy to assemble. It's more unique than other cribs and looks great from a decorating standpoint. Unlike some other reviews I read, it came with everything we needed to put it together and the bed was scratch free. I'm in love with this crib!

The crib is beautiful and easy to assemble. HOWEVER, the 5-in-1 description is misleading. When it comes time to convert into a toddler bed, there is no rail kit that comes with it. Instead, generic toddler bed rails must be purchased to use it as a toddler bed. I called the store to make sure this was the case, and was told it converts into a day bed and nothing else. The "5-in-1" description is meant to include the various mattress height settings and the fact that it turns into a day bed and a sofa. Although the bed is beautiful, I would've gone with a DaVinci convertible crib (where I can buy the DaVinci rail kits) had I known.
