My son is a little over 6 months old and I wanted to start introducing him to water with his solids. Cue the endless search for some sort of sippy or straw cup that works. He's still figuring out how to hold things properly tilted so that he gets a drink. I wished there was something he could drink out of without having to hold it at a specific angle...then I came across this while at Babies R Us and knew I struck gold.

The straw has a weighted bottom so it swings around with gravity to always point the end of the straw where the liquid is. GENIOUS! My son could sit, lay, relcine, whatever, and still be able to get a drink! The cup even comes with a straw cleaner.

So far so good. He gets a few sips here and there but still prefers biting it instead, he's still learning. It doesn't even leak, but occasionally dribbles if he leaves liquid in the top part of the straw. The lid has a nice lock to keep the straw tucked away when not in use.

With the price being way lower than literally every other weighted straw cup on the market, it's worth every penny. The only thing I can think of to change would be to have grippy handles. The handles included aren't very grippy or comfortable, just thin plastic. Same goes for the straw lock, it feels a bit loose. I can't speak to durability since we just got it, but it does feel a little flimsy.

There are some good things about this cup and some really frustrating parts as well. My daughter would give my granddaughter a sippy cup that you tilt up to drink from and I (who keeps her during the day) would give her straw cups because I read that the straw cups put the liquid further back in the mouth and not right up against the front teeth. So my granddaughter would try to tilt the straw cup up and not be able to get anything and become frustrated. The weighted part solves this problem. She now knows the difference since she is older. The most frustrating part is the puddle it leaves from the liquid coming back up out of the top of the straw. Don't know what the remedy is. To those that couldn't get any liquid out after sucking on it, it could be due to the plastic cover it has at the bottom of the weight (must remove). It isn't really noticable, unless you wash it first, as you should. Anyway, may not be the problem, but thought I would throw that out there.

My daughter loves these cups. She has not had any trouble learning how to drink from it. No matter how she holds the cup, except tipped completely tipped up, she gets the liquid out easily.
I have owned these cups for a couple months and the only downfall I can say is that one of the cups has a defective straw after daily use. The liquid pushes itself out of the straw while sitting on the table. It was spill proof until now.

This thing leaks constantly. Whatever is in it bubbles up and out of the straw. Hoid concept, just not executed.

I really wanted to love this cup

Comments about Munchkin 1001332 Munchkin Click Lock 7-Ounce Weighted Straw Flexi Cup - Orange:

I am very disappointed in this cup. I really wanted to love it with the ease that my son has using it but it just leaks way too much! I have at least 6 of these that I've purchased and every single one of them leaks. I am actually pretty surprised that the company has a money back guarantee! The liquid comes right up the straw and leaks out. Also I have had to cut the bottom of a few of the straws from developing little holes and tears where you but the weight and the straw together. I am still on the search for the perfect weighted straw cup.

Impossible to drink water out of this cup...

Comments about Munchkin 1001332 Munchkin Click Lock 7-Ounce Weighted Straw Flexi Cup - Orange:

Bought two of these cups for my little one and realized that the water level did not get any lower. I was late to realize this and feel super guilty that my 10-month old baby hasn't been drinking water (other than that used to prepare her milk) for a week!!!! Also, the cup's cover comes out so easily...she can easily remove it using her two teeth! Finally, it leaks! I've been making sure that I would hear that click sound when closing the lid, but again...it leaked.

    Only one he likes

    By Michele

    from Centuria, WI

Comments about Munchkin 1001332 Munchkin Click Lock 7-Ounce Weighted Straw Flexi Cup - Orange:

We tried many cups and sippys before finding one he will use well. My 1 yr old prefers the smaller straw and slower flow rate. The any direction drinking can't be beat! It truly is 360 drinking not like another brand we tried. Does leak sometimes but all of the "no leak" ones do once in a while. The straw cover is kinda flimsy and falls off a lot but easy to get back on in a snap. (Would give 4.5 stars if I could because of these 2 minor drawbacks.) It is the perfect transition for him to faster flow rates!

    Great Cup but Leaks!

Comments about Munchkin 1001332 Munchkin Click Lock 7-Ounce Weighted Straw Flexi Cup - Orange:

I initially bought 2 of these cups for my then 11 month twin boys, when transitioning from bottles. We tried trad sippys but they seemed to do better with these. So I bought 4 more. Soon after they started leaking out the straw and thw hole where the straw goes, the straw can be pushed in. So disappointed! I have recommended to friends but will no longer do so :(

    great cup. But leaks.

Comments about Munchkin 1001332 Munchkin Click Lock 7-Ounce Weighted Straw Flexi Cup - Orange:

It is great cup. But leaks. I think because the cold drink inside cause the different pressure from out side which the tine straw. Maybe change the design of the straw and the vant will become better. And the kid does not stay well.

    Great idea terrible execution

Comments about Munchkin 1001332 Munchkin Click Lock 7-Ounce Weighted Straw Flexi Cup - Orange:

I love the idea of this weighted straw cup and my daughter loves it. However when the liquid gets warm it oozes out of the top of the straw. I've now bought 3 of these at different stores and in different colors hoping that it was a quality thing but unfortunately every single 1 does this. I've tried turning the straw different ways so the valve/flap thing is in a different position, tried keep it closed (that just makes it flick liquid in the straw when you open it), and tried only filling half way. Nothing fixes the problem. Now I need to find something similar that is truly soil proof :( and they were very pricey.
