My Great Niece has loved chihuahua's since watching Beverly Hills Chihuahua. At six, she saw nothing unreasonable about asking for a real one, HOWEVER, since a real chihuahua costs around $800 plus lifetime expenses, we though we would look for a "real" stuffed one. This Melissa and Doug dog is incredibly lifelike and beautiful. We chose it because it wasn't cartoonish like others that were available...very realistic. My great niece was completely pleased and satisfied. The only thing that could make it better is if it were stuffed softer...however, it might not stand up. At any rate, we are completely pleased...and we saved over $800 with this purchase.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
