The Star Wars Saga continues in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by Lucas Arts, which casts players as Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III : Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny .

As its name implies, The Force Unleashed completely re-imagines the scope and scale of the Force by taking full advantage of newly developed technologies that will be seen and experienced for the first time: Digital Molecular Matter (DMM), by Pixelux Entertainment, and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. Paired with the powerful Havok Physics system, these new technologies create gameplay only possible on the new generation of consoles. DMM incorporates the physical properties of anything in the environment so that everything reacts exactly like it should - wood breaks like wood, glass shatters like glass, plants on the planet Felucia bend like plants on the planet Felucia would, and more. Meanwhile, as a revolutionary behavioral-simulation engine, euphoria enables interactive characters to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behavior on the fly and resulting in a different payoff every single time.

Features

• During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.
• Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
• In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.
• Visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility.
• Decisions made by players throughout the game will determine the path of the story, including multiple endings that will rock Star Wars continuity as they know it.

My 13 year old daughter wanted this game for her birthday and I got it for her and she plays it almost everyday for a half hour to an hour. Very fun game but the only thing is there isn't a multiplayer option so she can play with her friends to when they come over.

We purchased this game for our thirteen year old son. My husband and I grew up with Star Wars and are huge fans of the Sextilogy--so are our three children! This game has awesome graphics! It is challenging and the story line is really neat. The Jedi powers that you acquire as you advance are awesome! This game is worth every penny!

I poped this game in expecting an hour or two of amazing fun, followed by some bad stealth mission, then more action. THANK GOD I WAS WRONG! There are sevearl faults but their only on the technical side, except for the fact that the lenght of the game is what like 5 hrs? anyway you do unesecarily awesome attacks with the force, and for once, they work. just get it.

I play a lot of video games including many BAD licensed games - especially bad Star Wars games. My son and I really like LEGO Star Wars and I like Star Wars Battlefront, but most are terrible... this one is great. The game plays like a good action game, somewhere between Assassin's Creed, Crackdown, and Drake's Fortune and the story, cut-scenes are just A+ as video games go. I have shown the cut scenes to several Star Wars fans who don't have time for the game, but still found the story interesting... Game is violent on same level with the movies - fighting, but no blood - my kid is 6 and plays and certianly older kids are okay and will have a blast.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This game is very fun. You play as Darth Vader's secret apprentice, "Starkiller", who overall becomes more powerful than Darth Vader himself. The Xbox360's technical horsepower allows the game's three physics engines "DMM( Digital Molecular Matter, for realistic glass/wood/metal shatters), Euphoria (Life-like animations and actions), and Havok (real life like animations for things such as boxes, objects)

They all add the core value of this gamer together. There are different colors you can have for your lightsabers, as well as different costumes.

Definately worth the buy.

This game has to be one of the glitchiest games I've ever played. I understand that there are some faulty game disks out there. Overall this is a great Star Wars game. Kind of on the short side though. But its pretty good. I keep playing it over and over.

This game is amazing! Story, graphics, scenery and gameplay are all soo great. There is just something about picking up and throwing storm troopers(with the power of the force) into energy fields and watching them disintegrate that gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.
