Description



Animal Scramble is the listen-and-learn game of animal tag. Set out the animals, and listen to the giraffe call out friendly, encouraging clues. Which animal is green? Who says "rooooar?" Kids must scramble to the correct animal and tag it with the giraffe. This active learning game lets kids move, have fun and build coordination as they learn colors, numbers and animal sounds. Five levels of run-around fun, from easy to hard, allow this game to grow with your child.

This toy has also been evaluated by National Lekotek Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the world accessible to children of all abilities. Lekotek offers the following additional information:

Which animal says, roooar? Which animal is green? Animal Scramble is the listen-and-learn game of animal tag! Children listen to the friendly, encouraging auditory cues given by the giraffe, then race to tag the correct animal. Animals can be set up anywhere...on tables, wheelchair tables or trays, chairs, counters, the floor and more. Place them closer together to provide easier access for players who need to be seated or are working on reaching. Place them farther apart or on different surface levels to encourage squatting down and reaching up. Five levels of play put success within reach while helping to teach colors, numbers and animal sounds!

I thought this was a game my three kids ages 8, 5 and 2 could all play together. Within 10 minutes two of the little pegs molded to the leaves that the animals sit on snapped off. Speed is part of the game so you need to cover the animals quickly-a little roughly- hence the snapping off of the pegs. Without the pegs, the animals don't sit upright and the game is useless. Great game...poor construction.

Got this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and she really likes it. Easy to play and understand. Even my 5 1/2 year old wanted to keep playing it. The only change I'd make is a longer timer setting to "hide" the animals for the Scavenger Hunt game. 30 seconds isn't long enough for little kids to collect and hide 4 animals. We just wait till they're done hiding them or reset the game.

My almost 3 year old played with it for about 5 minutes before a peg on one of the stands broke off on the animal. We exchanged it and the same thing happened again. The animals fall over too easily if there is no stand. I was very disappointed because it is a very cool game that my daughter could play independently (meaning not needing someone else helping her- it can also be a group game). If they changed the stands I would highly recommend it.

I got this for my 3 year old and we couldn't be happier! It's a great game to keep her active when it's too cold to play outside. We set it up in the playroom and she LOVES running around to find the animals. It's just as fun for her to hide the animals and I look for them.

My 2 year old son just loves this. He has fun playing with it and can turn it on and start it himself. The sounds are loud enough, but not too loud. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the animals keep coming off the green stands. I tried gluing them onto the stand, but it ended up breaking the post that holds it onto the stand.
