I researched many swing sets before making this purchase. We have only had it for about a week so I can't comment on how well it will hold up in the long run but it seems sturdy and well made. I think it will definitely last through the number of years it will be usable to us. We got this for my two year old son and I was concerned that he wouldn't be able to climb up to the slide platform on his own because he is on the small side yet he had it figured out within a day. I love that he can climb and slide and swing on his own and I don't have to be super nervous about him falling like I would on a large wooden swing set. It is small enough for him to enjoy now but I also feel it's large enough for him to get several years of enjoyment out of it.

I purchased this for my two and a half year old a couple weeks ago and she absolutely loves it, therefore, so do I (with a few exceptions). When I went to the store to pick this up, I was surprised to hear this was the biggest box in the store and was asked how big my car was. I told them it was a crossover and they said it would never fit. I told them I had a Venza and they said they had a customer with the same car try to fit it and they couldn't. I didn't believe them until I saw the size of the box and the pieces. I unboxed it in the parking lot and began to load the larger, round pieces first and was left with 3 long supports that wouldn't fit. I was determined to make it fit. I took everything out of the car and started with the long support pieces first and the last piece to go in was the green roof. It fit (it was tight)! Before you get started, plan to have at least one other person helping. You should also read all the directions first and gather all the tools you need beforehand. The instructions don't list all the tools (such as a pencil, string and tape... really?!) required at the beginning. I wasted time going back and forth gathering various tools which aren't even listed at the beginning of each step. Most of the steps went quick with the exception of the roof which required the pencil, string and tape. This is needed to guide the eye bolt through a hole. If your careful and angle the bolt slightly above center you can guide it without using the pencil/string. The longest part was putting the anchors in the ground. You should plan to use a spade, small shovel and your hands if you have to dig through gravel (as in my case). In total this took about 5 hours to complete.I noticed there are two spots with what appears to be plastic rot where the plastic is very plyable/bent and has holes. It's obvious this is not intended. One is on the green roof (not too bad) and the other is on the brown platform (very bad). It doesn't appear to affect the structural integrity of either piece but is an eyesore knowing it's there. It's not noticeable unless you are the one assembling it.Once assembled, my toddler caught on quickly to climbing the rock wall. She can do it by herself which is a big plus. It is not steep like a ladder. There are also holes in the support pillars they can look through and one of the pillars also has steps on the side of it they can apparently climb on. She wants nothing to do with the swings....yet. Overall I'm happy this set fit in my crossover, isn't too big and fit perfectly in our typical Chicago/Suburban yard (didn't have to worry about height with power lines), appears to be safe and sturdy and my toddler loves it. The reason for 3 stars is the plastic rot or whatever you call it (previously mentioned above).

Comments about Little Tikes 1001284 Little Tikes Tree House Swing Set:
My 3 year old daughter was so excited to see her new swing set/ playground. Assembly was not to difficult for us. Took about 2 hours. There are a few tricky pieces but other than that is was fine. Just remember to read the instructions.

About Me Grandparent
Bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter. Love that it is the Little Tikes brand and I know it will hold up. It was easy enough for me to put together myself although it would have been faster with 2 people.
It is a good product

This item comes in a really large box, so make sure you have a pick up truck to pick it up in. Building the swing set was fairly easy, with two people. Except for one of the holes in the roof that was not lined up with another hole it needed to. We had a really hard time drilling a new hole to air this part work, but we succeeded. I guess these are the things you have to del with when working with stuff madeout of injection molding. Overall, the swingset is nice and sturdy.
Perfect for age 1 until probably 6!!

My granddaughter is 15 months old. I just bought a bucket seat for her for now. She loves every inch of this swing set, including the steering wheel. My son put it together in about an hour & a half with no problems. I can't think of anything that isn't good about it, and no further suggestions.

For the V screws in subpack 1 you will need a 7/16 socket.
You may also need a drill! We also have found that one hole in the plastic roof was not exactly oriented above the hole in the metal beam. So we needed to drill the roof.
it is great

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children, Working Parent
Bought tree house swing set on Saturday. Began putting it up on Sunday because it rained. Got the tree house put together but when it came time to put the swing set together it was missing the main part! I call the store to tell them I was on my way to get the missing piece. Manager Chris tells me that they got their butts chewed out the last time they opened a product for a part. I would have to contact the manufacturer who was not open until 8 am Monday morning. I threw a fit but it did no good. Monday morning when I called Little Tikes at 8:01 they said they have no such policy. They were sorry about the missing part. I call Toys R' Us and complain and Emily said she was sorry. She would talk to Chris about how employee should be satisfied... Gave me 10% off my next purchase.

It was actually easier to setup that I thought. My husband and I spent about 2 hours build it. The kids love it, and it makes the backyard look like a kids haven!
Incorrect instructions for drill bit size

The finished prodict looks great and my 8 month old and 3 year old are very excited about it. It's the perfect size for them to enjoy now and grow into. My husband was frustrated with assemby since the drill holes needed to be resized, things didn't line up properly, and the instructions listed the wrong drill bit size. After that mystery was solved, asseembly was much easier.
