Doesn't keep the smell in, like the original version used to do. It is easier to use than the original version but I hate that it doesn't keep the yukky smell in.
Also it is a pain to clean it. The two parts don't fit so well, kind a have to jiggle it to fit.
Overall not too satisfied, I expected more for the price I paid.

My son is only 5 months old and we already have gone through two of these. They are not made as well as I had hoped for the money. Both had the springs that pop the lid open break. It is very disappointing. They worked well when they were working, but I would recommend something that is going to last longer. We are trying the new one from arm and hammer, hope that one works out better.

My husband and I were skeptical about buying this because of the reviews and some comments from friends. Turns out it works perfect! It does not stink and the bags are so easy to replace and refill. The only complaint I have is that the refills are a bit pricey for as quickly as they go. Our baby is 3 months old and it holds up to the demand.

ok, Please do yourselves a favor GET This product. I am the biggest germophobic person and have the biggest sense of smell. When I had my 1st son my husband refused to buy it saying it doesn't work, well I am glad we got it for baby shower and never returned it.
My son is 2 1/2 and I have 4 months old twins and I use it like crazy and it doesn't make room smel, only when u open it to add another diaper but the smell dissappears as sooon as you close the lid. VIP- I don't have the elite cause it wasn't available when I had my 1st son but it looks awesome. ALSO- someone gave me the Diaper Genie I when I had my twins and I do not like it at all cause it is hard to use compare to this the II.

We have used this for 10 months and love it. We are only on our 5th refill. People told me I wouldn't use it but we have had it next to her changing table and use it all the time. Of course it smells when you open it but not when it is closed. We also put an air fresher on the bottom inside so it smells better when take the bag out. If you wrap up your dirty diapers small, there should be no issue with getting them into the genie without touching it. Easy to empty. Read the directions first. It doesn't always line back up when you flip the top back after emptying but that is my only complaint.

I used the diaper genie after the birth of my first child and for my daycare diaper changes. I've found it only becomes one more thing on your lsit of to-dos. It fills up quickly which requires a bag change. It is stinky. I have resorted to using sandwich baggies to throw away the stinky diapers instead. Cheap and easier as far as I'm concerned.

This Diaper Genie 11 Elite is WONDERFUL and a MUST HAVE for anyone's nursery....This is Perfect!!! I had another Diaper pail for my daughter when she was born and it was HORRIBLE! This has NO bad odor's coming out of it at all...and I love the conveint step pedal to open and throw away the diaper..with out touching a thing....emptying the diaper's once pail is filled is a breeze and take's no time at all.I am so glad that I went with this Diaper Genie 11 elite, I would recommend this to anybody and would buy again if I had to

This was a gift and it is completely useless. You have to shove the diaper down into even though you are not supposed to have to then when you do your hand gets all damp. It doesn't smell until you open it which defeats the purpose. I miss the old diaper genie that twisted.

Can't imagine not having this product!! It's very easy to dispose of the diapers, doesn't smell and easy to change the bags/empty. I was hesitant to register for this as I'd heard people complain that they don't work but I wouldn't want to be without it!!

This is must-have for everyone who has a baby! I only gave it 4 stars because we go through the refills so quickly and they can get kind of expensive. Other than that...totally love it.
