So easy to use and to change out the cartridge. Keeps smell of diapers down as long as you take out dirty diapers every day or every other day. Wish the refill bags were less expensive. Works better than the diaper champ though. That product was awful! Glad I got this instead.

This does not work. The lid mechanism gets stuck in open position and then it no longer works. This has been highly undependable. After my first "Diaper Genie II elite" (before the baby even came) broke I called the company and they amazingly sent me a new one (but I had to go to post office to send back old one). The second one worked for a month and now it is broken like the first.

I am going to figure out another solution with another company.
By the way this is my THIRD child so it's not my first rodeo as far as changing diapers and using diaper pails....

Love this thing. It keeps the smell out of our bedroom. Just don't fill the bags too much or they'll bust. Also make sure when you change the bags that you make sure it's snapped back in place or the smell can and will leak out. You might also want to wash it when you buy new refills as well.

I wanted to love this product, I really did. I did love it for the first five months and then it broke. It started acting up a little before five months and broke completely by five months. We now have to take the diapers out to our trash can in the kitchen and it's a pain and completely inconvenient. This product was not made sturdy enough to last past five months and for that, I am disappointed.

i had this with my first baby. it only controls odor as long as you keep it closed but the stench is multiplied the moment you open that thing! plus, you have to buy the liners. i am better off with a small trash can that gets emptied regularly.

I was skeptical like any other parent about buying something that I have never used and reading the reviews of the dissatisfied customer first. My friend who had used the older model (require twisting) liked it. This one does not require the twist. I simply LOVE this product. No more smell and easy to use. It is a creative PAIL for temporary use {until your little one grows to use the potty} not an automatic robot that will do everything for us, for ever. :-)

After mixed reviews we decided not to buy this product. Luckly a friend gave it to us in my baby shower. I really like it ! We have it in our living room by the pack and play and cannot smell anything. I higly recommend it !

The foot pedal to open the lid broke the first time I emptied it! So now I have half of a refill stuck in it and 2 more refills that are completely useless to me now! Complete waste of money. I should have just used a regular garbage can.

Yes this works well to keep smells to a minimum, but in my wildest dreams I would have never had bought this with the price of the replacement bags. Which tend to last 4 weeks, 6 when my dd was under 9 months. I am of mind to get rid of the Genie and get the Baby Trends Diaper Champ for the cost of 3 Diaper Genie refills.

this is soo convenient...i only have a trash pick up once a week so keeping stinky diapers in a reg trash can was not an option for me.. this is so easy to use and doesnt smell at all!
