The Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Standard 8 oz. Baby Bottles - 3 pk. offer a wonderful feeding experience with innovative vent technology. Dr Brown's bottles use a patented 2-piece internal vent system for your baby's comfort. This system creates positive-pressure flow for vacuum-free feeding that is similar to breastfeeding. The breast milk or formula flows freely without nipple collapse. As the baby feeds, air is channeled from the Level One nipple collar through the vent system to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breast milk or formula so oxidation is prevented, thereby maintaining essential vitamins such as C, A and E. The vent system eliminates air bubbles in the formula or milk, which helps to reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping and gas. The bottle is completely BPA, PVC, lead and phthalate free for your baby's safety.

Features

2-piece internal vent system

The fully-vented bottle reduces vacuums so your baby can quickly access the milk or formula in a method similar to breastfeeding. This positive-pressure feeding system channels air through the Level One nipple collar to the back of the bottle, keeping it separate you're your baby's food.

Prevents oxidation of nutrients

By keeping air separate from the milk or formula, the Dr. Brown's bottles reduce oxidation for a nutrient-rich feeding experience. The system helps maintain vitamins C, A and E to keep your baby healthy.

Reduces unpleasant feeding problems

The unique vent system also prevents the ingestion of air bubbles. It eliminates negative pressure and air bubbles to help reduce colic, spit-up, burping and gas.

3-pack

This set comes with 3 bottles so you can always have a Dr. Brown's bottle handy. Keep 1 at home, take 1 on trips or leave 1 in the diaper bag. You'll never be caught unaware with this set.

I like these bottles a lot. We use them along with Playtex VentAire for our daughter who has a cleft lip and palate.

Issues we have over come are leaking and cleaning.

To avoid leaking don't mix formula in the bottle (pressure builds up), loosen nipple ring before heating (pressure builds up), always use the straw, and use the sealing disk when transporting them.

We haven't had any problems with mold or mildew in them. I use the bottle and vent brushes made by Dr. Brown's and Ivory soap. After washing I sterilize them in a microwave sterilizer and set them out to dry completely. Once a month or so I soak them in bleach water for about 5 minutes.

I tried the 4 oz bottles when my son was 2 weeks old due to colic and gas problems, Im not really sure if it help because I changed his formula as well. I cannot accurately say that its the bottle that helped his symptoms but maybe both. I was using the Avent 4 oz bottles and leaked big time no matter how you tighten the screw cap. Dr.Browns bottle are good in a way that the style is a space saver in the diaper bag. My baby improved, he has less gas because this bottle doesnt leak if you screw them right. However no matter how I liked this bottles I have problems with cleaning because it is time consuming, I am working mom with another toddler and I prefer bottles that are easy to clean and I dont like the vent part beacuse the milk has the tendency to clog on it so you really have to spend time brushing those small holes. I have another toddler and I just cant stand spending too much time cleaning those bottles. I needed a bottle that is easy to clean and has a vent as well so I tried the Born free bottles. My son is sucking the nipple better and easily, he is able to control the flow unlike with Dr. Brown he is sucking the whole nipple and having a hard time getting the milk out due to the vacuum in the vent.

Comments about Handi Craft Dr. Brown's 3-Pack Polypropylene Bottles - 8 oz:

We have used Dr. Brown's 4 oz bottles for my exclusively breastfed baby since she was about 4 weeks old. She took to them very well and hardly ever spits up or has gas after eating from them. She is starting to eat a little more now that she is 16 weeks so I bought these larger 8 oz bottles. Just as before, she does great with them! The only con that I have is that these larger bottles still come with a Level 1 nipple. I would think that the larger bottle would have at least a Level 2 nipple as the standard. Still a great item though!

Comments about Handi Craft Dr. Brown's 3-Pack Polypropylene Bottles - 8 oz:

my husband and I had originally received the advent bottles for my shower. Our newborn struggled immensely with gas and it seemed to have only gotten worse. A neighbor told us about the Dr.Brown bottles so we bought a 3 pack to try it out. We had also just switched formulas. I believe the combination of the two has helped a tremendous amount for baby G. I would definitely recommend these bottles.

Comments about Handi Craft Dr. Brown's 3-Pack Polypropylene Bottles - 8 oz:

I use the bottles for my son. I bought a total of 12 bottles at a fairly good price. I had originally bought Avent natural flow plastic bottles but my little one would take in a lot of air while feeding. I could actually see all the air bubbles in the bottle as he drank the formula. With these bottles the air bubbles quickly disappear and he seems to take in less air while eating. With the Avent bottles he would get massive amounts of gas and would cry so much. We did also have to change his formula 4 times before we really saw much improvement as far as his gas was concerned. He is still a crier but not due to gas which makes it easier as he doesn't look like he's in pain as he did before.

Downfall is there are many pieces for the bottles and they are easy to misplace!

I absolutely love the Dr. Brown's bottles. I feel like they really helped with our baby's gas. I've seen some complaints about how they are more time consuming to clean with the additional parts- and they do take more time- but it's maybe 10-15 min a day and it's worth it.
We received the wide neck ones as a gift, and when I needed to buy more, I bought these because they were a little cheaper. And they do work perfectly, but they are harder to clean by hand because a standard bottle brush doesn't fit in all the parts the way it does in the wide neck bottles. Plus, they are tall and we have trouble fitting them in the fridge. So if you wash in the dishwasher and have plenty of fridge space, they are just as good as the wide neck bottles and they seriously help reduce gas, burping, spitting up.
