So happy to see this game released again, without all the "fiddling" that the newer versions of Risk, et al, seemed to feel obliged to add. I'm definitely buying the new version, even though my old one ('72) is still going strong, with a semi-daily recess game for my son and his 4th grade classmates in it's 5th week. I see the rec'd age is 12+, but with a parent handling the books, 10-yr-olds are handling it very well.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have been playing this game forever. I has some variants that can make it play very fast even with up to 7 players, as well as being played by over 10,000 people on the NET.

A game without dice, cards, random events/factors. Pure fun and achievement in a background of international power politics and diplomacy.

For all board gamers that are always on the losing end of rolling those dastardly dice and have more mad strategy skills than they know what to do with, this game is for you. Just like an insane game of Risk without the risk of chance, it is a exciting game for those bent on world domination. It's worth the money.
