It was cheap in price; I should have known it wouldn't be high quality. It was a very small toy, and arrived in a huge box with no packing to protect it. Arrived damaged, and ToysRUs would not refund the shipping costs.

We first saw this at a friend's house, so I searched for it online, not realizing that it was a ukelele instead of a guitar. My son is fascinated with guitars, and I thought this would be a better size for him. Even though he likes to turn the tuning knobs, which "un-tunes" it, it is wonderful to see him getting comfortable with a musical instrument. It doesn't really matter what it sounds like.

This item was so poorly constructed. I was disappointed in it even before we gave it to our four-year old daughter. She was thrilled with the look of it but after three uses (light uses at that because she was told to be gentle) she went to place it on the floor and it slipped from her hands thus falling on the carpet (the carpet!!) and the neck broke. The sound was really disappointing, too, even before the damage. I definitely just threw money out the window.

This is a good starter uke. I wasnt really expecting much being a "toy". But when the uke is properly tuned and the strings are stretched it plays fine. Now if you put it away in the box or put it down then you will have to tune it again. I guess some of the ukes have a sticker, but mine was painted on. i am pleased with it.

I bought this instrument for my 7 year old daughter as she has expressed interest in the Ukulele. When I received the product one of the strings were not attached. This instrument does not stay in tune after 1 song and the sound quality is poor. I do not recommend this product.

I recieved a first act ukulele as a gift and I thought it was a great deal for [$]. I took the decal off of mine and replaced the strings with 2 classical guitar strings (which works just fine on any ukulele) it sounds good when you play it, the gears actually hold tune and it's a good instrument for someone to learn on, especially a child. it is durable and can take a beating and hold up just fine. Mine finally broke when someone fell on it, I bought another ukulele after that from an online music supply store, I paid twice as much for it (and it was one of the less expensive ukuleles I found) and it the quality was worse. I wish I would have saved the money and bought another first act.

Very cheaply made ukulele toy. I say toy because this really doesn't qualify as a musical instrument. Great for a kid under 5 to play with, but if you have an older kid with a genuine interest in playing a ukulele, you're better off spending [$] on a real ukulele at a used guitar shop. This toy is a bit overpriced considering you can buy a real one for the same price.

Sent this to my young niece for her birthday. She enjoys it and it is the right size for her. Not too big like some instruments at her age.
