These are a bit on the small side for swaddling. I also, didn't like that they were a rectangle instead of a square, which made it hard to get a good tight swaddle. They are cute and lightweight. I used them for covering up my DD when she was in her bouncer or swing, but that's about all I used them for.

They are way too small to swaddle my 7.5 lb baby but they make the best burp clothes ever! They are super absorbent, large, soft, and the dried milk or spit up doesn't make them crusty. You'd like to think that you would wash your burp cloth ever feeding, but once a day is much more realistic. I bought special, muslin burp cloths and after a wash or two they were rough and any milk makes them crusty as soon as it dries.

We received these as a gift, amongst others. I find myself using these more often then any other blanket we received. We used these all the time to swaddle our daughter as a newborn.

They are great even in warmer weather when she wants the comfort of a blanket.

However, I feel like these things wrinkle so easily thus I give it 4 out of 5.

These are super cute but I agree, they pill up easily once they are washed and aren't quite as soft. Also, they aren't quite big enough for swaddling if your baby likes to be able to stretch their legs while swaddled. They work great for everything else.

These receiving blankets are beautiful!! They wash beautifully with no fading, pilling and they got softer with each wash! They folded great! If you wash them on gentle with baby detergent, tumble dry low, spread evenly and fold you will have no problems! My husband and I bought more of these as they are bigger than other brands we received at my shower.

We bought these blankets for our baby girl that is due to arrive any day now. They looked super cute and are soft, but this only holds true until you wash them. I have only washed them once without ever having even used them, and they look terrible. They have lost some of the color, the texture is very rough even though I washed them per instructions. I wish I had never bought these! Instead, I highly recommend the Kaola Baby thermal blankets instead. They are stretchy, perfect size and have retained the quality after being washed!!

I have to say I'm not sure why this got such great reviews. The blankets ARE cute and super soft...until you wash them. I just washed mine one time and they already have pills in them. I don't have anything to compare it to, but there's got to be something better out there.

These blankets have gotten TONS of use over the past 7 months! They are a little stiff at first but soften up nicely... our favorite summer blanket for the heat of Houston! So cute when layered with multiples too since the patterns all match nicely! :)
