I love these receiving blankets. They are so soft and the prints are great. I'm definitely going to buy more carters brand blankets. The only thing I have to say is a down fall, is that I just washed them for the first time and dried them, and they shrank a little, but still super soft.

    I found so many great uses for these receiving blankets! I was told by so many people that I didn't need to purchase any receiving blankets, but I did anyway. These are soft and light and come in handy for so many things.

    I use these as a light blanket when it's to warm for a larger blanket. We use it for swaddling, it's the perfect size! I have some that are a bit smaller than these and they don't work as well for swaddling.

    These have also come in handy as burp clothes and as a changing pad.

    I wash these constantly and they still look new.

    Highly recommend!

        I found these blankets to be useless. First of all, you can't swaddle your baby in them because they are not square. The rectangular shape makes it impossible to get that perfect swaddle. They are too thin to use as a blanket to keep your baby warm, and too small to use as a "floor mat" for babies to play on. So all in all, there really is no good use for them.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                I just got these for my baby shower and I love them! They're super soft and extra cute! As for the shrinkage - it's to be expected. It's a 100% cotton product so if you're not prepared to face that fact, then don't invest.
