I bought this for my four year old god-daughter and she loves it. It does come with many pieces but they are neatly kept in the large container. If the child is very hands on and loves to build things, this is a great toy!

This has been the gift of the season. My son is 3 and all his friends are turning 3 or 4. I gave this gift to my 3 year old niece and it became the hit of our family. Tinker Toys is our standard gift this year at all the 3 and 4 year old birthday parties we are invited to and the kids as well as the parents are loving it. The girls love the pink, the boys love the blue, and the parents of twins love to be able to tell the difference.

We purchased these for our 4 year old daughter, and she loves them. Of course, her brother (3) loves them too. Ok, so does Dad. For [$] these toys will entertain them for years, and they encourage imagination and "engineering" skill development. The only comment is that some of the connectors (the "wheels") don't allow the rods in easily at first so the parent has to force them in for the first time to pry them open just a bit. After that they are great! Looking to buy another, because there is enough room in the tub for two sets.

This can is jam packed with creativity and fun. My kids have had the smaller can of Tinkertoys for several years. I purchased this big can for my daughter's 5th birthday. Even my 9-year-old boy is playing with them.

I bought this for my daughter who is 5 1/2, for Christmas. She LOVES it! It is very girly-pink, green, and purple colors, and it shows examples of girly things to make, like-butterfly, flowers, pink flamingo, house. One thing I didn't realize when I bought it was that they are plastic. It doesn't seem to matter. They seem fairly sturdy, although I did hear one crack as I was putting it together-no breakage though. She can't wait to build with her girlfriends!

I love the endless chances to create! My 5 year old loves it, she spends great amount of time on her own building and creating.

Great toy that entertains many kids at once since it has 200 pieces. Allows children to use their imagination and play together. Pieces are well made and very durable. It does include some small pieces so be careful with young children. I have a six year old girl and a 2 year old boy. The tinkertoys are always a favorite when friends are over. It is the first thing they ask to play with. It is bright and colorful. My only con is that I wish it had more examples and ideas of things to make. My my daughter Lili mostly spends time making the butterfly and the microphone. She is one of the models featured on the can. She is singing into the microphone wearing the pink dress with the flower in her hair. I am so proud of her. And the toy seems to be selling out!
