The products works just fine, but we were a little disappointed because despite being called "classic," all the pieces are plastic, not wood, and there are no end pieces to make a windmill or fan. As long you you understand what's in the can, they're just fine--you might want to order two because even though the container is large, the contents pretty much serves one child. And the container could hold two sets.

I am not usually attracted to PINK for girls. It is a building toy for all
children regardless of sex. We got a set of regular for our grandson and a set of pink for the granddaughters in the same family for fun. They were interested and excited. HOWEVER, as we looked at the suggestions for building , the boys were challenging such as a ferris wheel and robots, the girls set was absolutely insulting (simple flowers and picture frames)! Who determined that the girls might be unable to build complex creations??? If pink toys are always this sexiest I will never buy a PINK toy again!!!

I bought this for my four year old god-daughter and she loves it. It does come with many pieces but they are neatly kept in the large container. If the child is very hands on and loves to build things, this is a great toy!

This has been the gift of the season. My son is 3 and all his friends are turning 3 or 4. I gave this gift to my 3 year old niece and it became the hit of our family. Tinker Toys is our standard gift this year at all the 3 and 4 year old birthday parties we are invited to and the kids as well as the parents are loving it. The girls love the pink, the boys love the blue, and the parents of twins love to be able to tell the difference.

We purchased these for our 4 year old daughter, and she loves them. Of course, her brother (3) loves them too. Ok, so does Dad. For [$] these toys will entertain them for years, and they encourage imagination and "engineering" skill development. The only comment is that some of the connectors (the "wheels") don't allow the rods in easily at first so the parent has to force them in for the first time to pry them open just a bit. After that they are great! Looking to buy another, because there is enough room in the tub for two sets.

I bought this for my daughter who is 5 1/2, for Christmas. She LOVES it! It is very girly-pink, green, and purple colors, and it shows examples of girly things to make, like-butterfly, flowers, pink flamingo, house. One thing I didn't realize when I bought it was that they are plastic. It doesn't seem to matter. They seem fairly sturdy, although I did hear one crack as I was putting it together-no breakage though. She can't wait to build with her girlfriends!
