I really like this seat and it seems very sturdy. It looks like it could use some more cushion on the sides of the seat because my son's head falls to the side when he is asleep in it. It's almost impossible to tighten the straps while rear facing. I can reach the strap to tighten in it, but no matter how hard I pull on it, it won't tighten the harness. I actually have to pull on the harness from the back to tighten and pull on the strap in the front to keep it from loosening.

I was convinced that I wanted the Britax Boulevard, but entered all the car seats into the car seat finder to confirm my decision, regardless of price. I removed seats that didn't work for newborns, that wouldn't last until a booster seat, that lacked side crash test ratings, that weren't made of energy absorbing EPP foam, that didn't have 5 point harnesses, that didn't have a high ease of use rating (NOTE: you are NOT getting crash ratings from the Department of Transit, but ease of use ratings), and that didn't have no re-thread adjustable harnesses. I was amazed I had two left--the Britax Boulevard and this one--I expected to only have the Britax left. Researching further, I'm glad I got this one for the ability to clean it. Many complained about difficulty to reach the harness adjusters when RF, but when properly installed with a leveler, it is not difficult. I have a small level in my toolbox (endlessly valuable dollar item). I only wish I had gotten the new Premier, which includes the dollar level in the seat for proper installation and anti-rebound bars. Of course, I don't move my car seat from car to car and use a sling rather than an infant carrier. Someone who cares about these items may prefer a different car seat. Also, colors don't match the photos here. Look at the manufacturer's website.

As for the issue of color if you go to the site of the company that makes them you will see that it is black. The system that posted the product must have changed the color. So if you order this seat it is not the color shown. I love the color I plan to buy it next week for my 9 month old.

But I resaerched the company and others. I am going to enjoy watching my son happy in a seat with more padding.

My son loves this car seat. He is 6 months old and we moved him from his carrier car seat because he was getting too heavy to carry in it. He loves to look around and almost always falls to sleep in it. It is really easy to adjust the straps. You don't have to rethread like with some of the other car seats. Plus, I love that it grows with your child, so that we won't need another car seat! Some of the flaws are that my baby's head falls forward everytime he falls asleep. I've tried adjusting everything, but nothing works. It doesn't seem to bother him though. Also, the cord to tighten the straps has to be pulled up or else it is impossible to get to if the seat is rear facing. Overall, we love the car seat and are extremely happy with our choice. One more thing, the seat is black, not the wine color shown.

I registered for this car seat, as we are having a girl now. It came in the mail, and when I opened it, it was black?! Not wine as shown on the web site. I wanted something in a girly color, and this isn't it. I am not even sure I am going to use it now. Color isn't everything; safety comes first, but I was excited to have this one in wine.

This carseat was a gift for my 8month old son. It is very confortable once it is installed, however it is hard to adjust the seat belt. When the carseat is rear facing, the release button is soooo close against the back seat, it is hard to adjust the belt. The belt is a little loose right now and not sure if that is safe in case of an accident. In addition, in the rear facing position, the carseat does not tilt far enough. When my son falls asleep, his head always fall forward. I would not reccomend this carseat for rear facing position and will be purchasing a different carseat that fits our needs better.

This car seat is not the wine color it is shown in. It is an all black car seat. After receiving it and opening it I brought it back assuming they had just shipped the incorrect one, only to receive another black one. After doing some research on The First Years website did I realize that the Aurora is, in fact, an all black seat, not the wine/grey one shown on this website. I again returned it and plan to order it in the Misty Morning (grey/light blue) hoping that will be shown correctly on the Babies R Us website.

I bought this carseat after being unhappy with another. I was installing rear facing for my 15 month old daughter. It was very difficult to install and the directions were somewhat confusing. Once we figured it out the seat looked great and comfortable. I liked the removable headrest and the material was very soft. Only issue that made me return it was that in the rear facing position it was almost impossible to get to the harness release button. It was right up against the back of the seat. I could not imagine trying to use it everyday. While this is a great seat overall, it is best as a forward facing seat.

We bought this carseat for my son when he outgrew the carrier one, and we loved it so much that we bought a 2nd one for our other car. Been using it about 7 months and it's been great. He rode in it backwards for several months and now has been riding forward for about 2 months. We have it in Cappucino, but the carseat works great for my son.

The seat is very nice and comfortable for my little one and it is very safe. It is big yet fits in our car and he will be able to use it rear facing for a long time with the extra length to it. The only bad thing is it almost impossible to tighten the straps when it is rear facing. The release button and the straps to tighten are very low. And the release button is tripped when you pull up to tighen the straps. I haven't returned it yet, just facing the challenge of tighening it up and trying to figure out an easier way.
