It's not often I actually take the time to write a review. However I felt that certain things need to be said. First off I totally understand why everyone is freaking out and complaining about the new blasters. Sure. They don't look a thing like the blasters you see in the films, but these are great blasters for KIDS to play with. Which is what Lego was made specifically for, CHILDREN. So while I still play with them at my age, I feel like I can't see any real reason to complain about the looks of the blasters. Because if I was a child again you'd better believe I'd choose the blasters that can ACTUALLY shoot stuff over the stationary "movie modeled" blaster any day of the week. Kids aren't so picky about things like movie accuracy, they want guns that shoot. So if you are going to complain over such a small thing, keep in mind that these are in fact children's toys. Besides, if the blasters make such a big difference to you, just buy the old ones off ebay or something. Overall this is an amazing set with great figures.

Got this for my son the other day. He wants all of the new clones, so this was a cheap start to his collection as it comes with 4 minifigs (2 unique designs). Unfortunately they are orange again, would prefer blue or dark red, but I digress. Pros: The set includes 4 minifigs. Minifigs have detailed legs, making them pretty cool for a kid or collector as clones have many times had simple plain legs. Keep it up Lego! New helmet design that looks like a squishy bee hive helmet. The buildable tri-droid is kinda silly but whatever, they always have something small to build and you can save the parts for other stuff. Two cloth kamas included for the king of the bee hive troopers. Cons: The helmets only are painted on the front side, leaving the back a solid plain white. Kinda boring, but that is what you get when it comes to clone helmets and why so many people make custom versions. Would be nice if they took the same approach as they do with the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Helmets by including full detailing. Guns are terrible. Might as well just included the old megaphone guns because these look just as bad. (Oh, wait... they can shoot a colored stud!) Lucky for most we have a collection of the blasters and rifles from previous sets. My biggest complaint is that the clones have battle damage marks on their armor. Why Lego, why!?! Each pair of figures is identical, so a real lame choice as your army will all have the same exact battle damage on helmet, torso and legs. Anybody remember the GI Joe dolls back in the 70's all with the scar on the same cheek? Or the sandtroopers in set 9490 'droid escape' that were detailed with sand markings in the same places, or the latest Captain Rex from clone wars? This is why it gets a 3...hard to build a cool army when everyone has apparently experienced the exact same wear and tear. My Opinion: Buy the set, but you probably won't buy a lot of them as the battle damage and blasters are just silly. We will settle with this one set. Now, hopefully Lego will release a battle pack of all white troopers without the battle damage or disk shooters. (Fingers crossed).

All-Around Good Set
The Utapau Troopers battle pack is a decent set. It features 4 really cool figures, with great blasters I use a lot. Yes, they are bulky, but for kids who only have 15 bucks, this is a great playset. The droid is really cool, with tons of rare pieces in cool colors. I just wish it had, like, a mini AT-TE instead and the droid in a separate set with Commander Cody. But I would still recommend this for all ages.
The clone trooper body's are perfect, but the faces are really bad I hate the way they look the clone wars tv show faces are far better. I really don't like the fact that lego faces are getting angrier because they just wined up looking silly most of the time. Now to the big problem the blasters. Why lego why, if the troopers had normal blasters I would have given this set 5 in all categories. I would have gotten more of this set, but I need to get Brickarms blasters as well, so for me at least lego lost half of my battle pack budget.
So this is a really good set. It's a bit small and it doesn't take a ling time to build, but it's absolutely worth buying. As with every lego set, the build quality to great, but the main thing here are the minifigures. They or rather their armor looks amazing. The paint job is very high quality. The only downside are the guns, because they look kind of dumb.

About Me Parent Of Two Or More Children
keeps kids busy
I got this set for Christmas in 2014. Okay, I found half of one at a thrift store several months earlier (box with factory sealed minifig/large pieces bag) but for Christmas I got the entire set. The Octuptarra Droid is the smaller one seen in Star Wars Episode III (the huge ones this is sometimes confused with are the Magna ones in Star Wars: The Clone Wars). The droid rises about 6-7" tall, which makes it the tallest battle pack set of them all. It has some Technic parts, click hinge bricks (whatever they're called), and some nice dark tan pieces. The only thing I don't like about it is the three blasters on it are flick-fire missiles. That takes away from movie accuracy a bit, but then again just about every set has missiles of some kind (even the tree in the 2011 Ewok Attack could fire a missile). The 212th clone troopers and airborne troopers are some of my favorite phase II clone figs. They all share the same head style (that sort of "game face" clones have had since 2013). The figs have plenty of details on them (even scratches on the armor I guess from shrapnel near-misses), and I like how the airborne troopers have fabric man-skirt things (I think they're called Kama). The only irksome thing about them, in my humble opinion, is that the new shooting blasters aren't exactly movie-accurate to say the least. Value for money? I'm a cheapskate, so I'm not paying the $12.99 US retail price for this set, no way no how. Maybe it's just that I'm still in shock that battle packs cost more than their original $10 price, even though the price was increased five years ago. All in all, this is a great set for kids and collectors alike. Great droid thing, great figs, great pieces. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Keep on building, everyone!
Just Plain AWESOME
This Battle pack is probably the best one yet. These troops are my favorite with their orange-and-white armour, and the dirt on them adds some great effect. The 2 standard Utapau troopers are really cool; they look very movie accurate. Very nice. The Airborn Troopers are very cool as well; I like the light grey kama armour (or whatever it's called) on their legs, which looks great. It would have been nice though if they had some kind of shoulder paldron or something for extra detail, but they look great anyway. The droid is EPIC! It is huge compared to how it's shown on the box, probably about 3 minifigures tall! It's legs are fully functional, And it's head rotates quite well, and the missles are a great feature. I would definatly rate this set a 10/10!
To start off this set is very nice. It is a little overpriced it is about 15 cents per piece, so it should be no more than $10 but other than that it is a very nice set. The Utapau troopers are very cool, it is like the battle packs of old (5 years ago) where you get 4 minifigs and a vehicle to go along with them. So it is nice that Lego is bringing this style of battle packs back, now they just need the apposing side battle packs. Other than the fact that this set is a bit overpriced it is a very nice set, and I recommend that everyone who likes phase 2 clones gets it.
