I've been doing elimination communication with my six month old son. He was great about using his Baby Bjorn potty, but I couldn't get him to use the toilet and none of the seats I found made it small enough for such a little guy. The Potette looked smaller than most, though, so I thought I'd try it. It's a perfect fit, now my little fellow is comfortable enough to go on a regular toilet. Yay!

Germaphobe checking in. My son was potty trained in 3 days but was confused because he would wear diapers when we were out and about because of how terrible public bathrooms can be. This little thing was the BEST [$] I've spent. It's nice and small enough where I can throw it in the stroller carriage, the diaper bag, or carry it in its own carrying case and noone knows it's a potty! Plus I also have a 1 year old and for the time it would take to take both boys out of their car seats, find a restroom, sanitize the toilet, hold him up while keeping my 19 month old in eyesight, it would be a grueling process. I can just pull over, put my son on the potty on the side of the car, and continue on without ever having to take my other child out of his seat. It's helpful to put a new bag on it to prep for the next use and save time when the little one is doing the potty dance. Those little bladders don't hold for long!Boy moms: Before I got it I was concerned that my son would pee outside of it because there isn't much of a splash guard. I found that sitting him down with his knees up and legs closed or lean forward slightly helped to solve that problem. That helps his boy parts drop down far enough that he wouldn't miss. A couple of times I've had to help him point it down while peeing. This minor inconvenience/extra step is very much so worth it if it means I don't have to take my child into a filthy and unsanitary public restroom which would send my anxiety levels through the roof!! I've read some negative reviews about the stability of this product. My son is 3 years old and 37 pounds and we've had NO problem with stability. It's actually pretty stable for its size. Perhaps you aren't locking the legs properly? You have to unfold the legs, push them upwards towards the rim until you hear a click. You can also unfold the legs, place the potty down upright, and apply firm pressure to the sides of the rim just above the legs, You should hear or feel the click.

I leave my potty seat in the car. When school is in session and we sit in the car rider line to pick up my daughter, this seat has become a true lifesaver!!! I held off potty training my 2 1/2 year old twins for this very reason. What would I do if they had to go in the middle of car line and we had no where to go. Most occasions we wait in line for about an hour. We used it for the first time yesterday and it was fantastic! They thought it was super fun to go potty in the van. I have both a girl and a boy and neither have a problem controlling where their urine goes. No muss no fuss!!! I'll tell all my friends. The bags are a bit interesting to maneuver when full. It's not 100% full or leakproof but in my opinion the benefits far outway the negatives and I love it!

We put this in my bag (I use a medium sized tote for diaper bag/purse) and take it EVERYWHERE with us. The whole potty is about the size of a sheet of printer paper when folded up. He used it the 2nd time I put him on it and every time thereafter, at home, in public...he even uses it in the car (in standalone mode on the leather seat while we are parked). This has been GREAT for househunting trips while we are in the car for 2+ hours driving around. We just pull over and voila! At grandma's house we put it onto her adult-size toilet and he uses it there, too. We ran out of the 3 official potette bags in one day, so I started using plastic grocery bags w/ folded up paper towels. Not so great, we have had 3 bag leaks already. The only thing I would change about this product: include more bags with the potty. Oh and our 2 yr old, 35lb boy has had no problems with the guard, or pinching, or tipping. He needs a little help getting off the chair sometimes but that is pretty normal with all 3 of his potties. An added bonus: He has started asking to use the potty while he is in his carseat because he knows we can pull over fast and let him go, so we have less carseat accidents (we put him in 100% underwear mode from the start and after 14 days he was completely trained, just needs to go every 3-4 hrs and once in the middle of the night). I just wish we had 2 of these potties--one for home, one for car.

This is SUCH a saver! My daughter uses this so frequently. It saves time when traveling to just pullover to use this potty rather than going into a store/resturant. At 1st it collapsed a lot but I realized you have to lock the legs in. It's super easy to use and you just throw the bag away. The bags are a bit pricey but I use a regular diaper baggie instead.

I rarely write reviews, unless I really love it or hate it. This I love. I bought this for camping for my newly potty-trained 2 yr old. The restrooms were a distance away from our tent site. This thing worked great! It's compact, so I can store it w/minimal space. The bags worked great. The legs fold under for storage, fold downward to become a stand alone (yes, lock the legs in place), and the legs also fold out for setting on a real toilet. I loved it so much, I now keep it in the trunk of my car, just in case. If I knew better, I wouldn't have wasted my money on potty chair, or a potty seat, and a travel potty . . . I would just buy this, maybe 2.

I bought this for my daughter because she was scared to go on public potties, which led to either accidents or us not going out. It gets the job done. It fits in my oversized purse, and my daughter was not afraid to use it. It is not sturdy at all though. It tips over as soon as my daughter sits on it, and she's not a big girl. I just have to hold onto the legs while she uses it. The little absorbent clothes in the bags don't soak up much. I found myself dumping out extra pee before I threw the bag out. Regardless though, it works. It definitely helped my daughter transition to public or bigger potties.

I LOVE this!! I have a 3 year old little girl who is terrified of using public restrooms. On our way out of town for vacation we stopped and picked one of these up, and my daughter never had an accident. It's very easy to use, make sure you click the legs in till you hear it snap into place. It's very sturdy. My 3 year old weighs 38 pounds and it fits her just fine. Also even though the bags are a bit pricy, I am going to continue to buy them. I didn't like using a grocery sack. Hope this helps!

Potty training with my two year old who has a fear of regular toilets in public. Who can blame her? This potty goes everywhere with us while we are out. I take her to the closest bathroom and set it on the floor in a stall for her to use. It does look like she is squatting but it does the job and she doesn't mind.

It was a lifesaver when she decided she had to go potty after I got her and my newborn all strapped in and ready to come home. I was thankful not to have to take her and the baby out of the car to find a bathroom. Also, was handy for the road trip we took recently. This is truly a must have for toddlers. Will also work out great for camping this summer.

My only complaint is that it is difficult to find the replacement bags without ordering online. Although, a plastic bag with a papertowel on the bottom can also work.

I wasted my money on buying the look a like adult toilet traditional potty chair that sits on the floor. I found the potette plus when it dawned on me that my son needed a portable potty chair especially if I wanted to reinforce underwear only. He started using it at age 2.5. It is completely safe and stable. My only regret is that I should have bought two. One for home and one for the car for outings...I cant seem to find one anywhere expect on line!!! By the way he potty trained in in 4 weeks, and we never used pull ups. Not sure how much credit to give the potette plus, but it has been so easy to use and train.
