Wanted this the moment I saw it in the store. My girls love velcro food toys. This is actually more fun and better priced than the Melissa & Doug set we have. Just a couple drawbacks that are minor irritants- the platter and plates are too small to hold the cake! Why don't they notice these things when they make it?! My 2 and 4 yr. old noticed right away. Would have given it 5 stars then.

The price isn't bad and it is a fun set, but as someone else said the plates and utensils are tiny compared to the cake. The cake is even too big for the cake plate. Some of my pieces have broken - the little frosting accents. Don't know why this is. But the girls do like it and it is fun to decorate.

I bought this as a Christmas present, so my daughter hasn't opened it yet. I thought this set was so cute and girly looking, but when we got it in the mail, it was a chocolate cake with blue plates. I was really disappointed, but kept it anyway because my daughter kept talking about chocolate cake.

Perfect!!! The colors, the quality of plastic, the idea of detachable pieces (berries, cookies, other - mix and match) is just perfect. My daughter really enjoys it very much (I do too). For the price - is a BARGAIN. Bottom line: very good quality, play + educational (colors, matching, shapes, other). Cant get better than that. Thanks.

This is a great toy...my girls love to "make" the cake. We got it when it was buy one get one half off....so we got the pizza set too...another great toy...the cake is a little big for the plate but that doesnt matter to them...i would buy this again for gifts!
