FOR STARTERS THE UKULELE ARRIVED IN A BOX THAT WAS SMASHED ON ONE SIDE. INSIDE, THE UKULELE WAS OUT OF ITS PACKAGE AND THE PROTECTIVE WRAPPING WAS JUST LYING ALONG SIDE IT. SADLY, THE UKULELE ALSO HAD A BROKEN STRING, WHICH WAS A COMMON COMPLAINT. I AM GRATEFUL IT WAS BROKEN NOW RATHER THAN ON CHRISTMAS MORNING! VERY DISAPPOINTING

After reading so many negative reviews I too had to defend this little gem. Everything about this instrument is great. It's as durable as any other instrument. As for those who have broke yours, well you should take greater care of your instruments, and at least know what your doing.

This is a great sounding instrument. I tuned and tested all of the ukes in the store before I settled on this one, which had the sweetest, clearest, tone.

I'm 50/50 on the plastic fret board. On one hand, it's got the perfect amount of action. It frets easily and accurately, and is very comfortable to play. But after a year of really playing the heck out of it, the frets have started to wear down.. Which has ended up being disappointing. Can i just unscrew this board, and put a new one on? Can I get a match from the company?

this is perfect for my 2 yr old daughter who is trying play my guitars. its thr perfect size for her! just wish it was a guitar instad ukulele. but happy non the less that i found something that she can play!!!!

For years I have been on Tours around the globe and I have played top of the line guitars that sound great... by far this is the best guitar I have ever laid my eyes on. First of all it sounds like angels singing I use it for recordings, gigs, concerts and tours. I play metal, jazz, rock, and classicrock on this extrodanary guitar. Second this guitar has an incredible paint job that only the master of the air brush can perfect. I love spongebob and music so this was the perfect guitar for me. get this flaberghasting guitar. Its the bees knees, the cat's pajamas, and the pig's mud. it's pure epicly amazing!!!!!!!!!!

This was the first present my son opened today and he wasnt even interested in any other presents after he saw it. Took it out of the box and started tuning it not even that tight yet and the bridge flew off. I had the saddest 4 yr old boy on Xmas morning =(

I'm a fan of spongebob and I wanted to pick up the uke. I was unsure if I would like it... so before I bought an expensive one I purchased this one from my local store. The selection included ones where it looked like the picture... Sponge Bob's being is painted on the actual ukulele itself, and there were ones where there were just stickers in places where they should have painted it. Terrible looking stickers! The one that was painted on had friction tuners, and the one with stickers had geared tuners. Most of them had some kind of defect, so its important to buy it in person. I bought a painted one with friction tuners and the strings weren't strung nicely, and the tuning pegs were very loose. But when I got home I just restrung it and tightened the screws on the back of the tuning pegs. I was delighted with my first experience with a ukulele. I've had it for about two months now and now it holds its tune pretty well. I also bought a Kala ukulele (the next step up for more serious playing) and yes there's a huge difference in sound, but there's also a big difference in cost. The Sponge Bob uke is more quiet and less crisp. It's good for a unsure beginner or a child's toying around with! If you want the next step up there are kala or lanikai ones for 50 dollars.

My two year old is captivated by his music teacher's Ukulele....he had a mini guitar and a REAL ukulele both of which he broke in half....this thing is indestructible! It is a toy so yes maybe the strings don't hold as well as they could be he loves it and it does sound well!

My son, Frankie loves Spongebob and loves the sound his two sisters make on thier electric guitar so, he deicied to play some tunes too. It is a perfect size for a six year old such as my son. I would say that everything is fantastic about it!
