I bought this thinking it would be a better then using an underarm thermometer on my infant daughter. I was wrong!! Every time I take someone's temp. it always comes back as 97. I thought I was doing it wrong so I re-checked the directions and still got the same reading. I even had my husband try it. My 10 month old daughter was sick, when i checked her with this thermometer her temo came back as 97. Luckily I went with my instancs and thought she felt warm and made an apointment to be checked out anyways, because at the doctors visit she had a fever of 102. This is not worth the money or worth risking your childs saftey on!!

I thought this would be a good price point for an ear thermometer, boy was I wrong. No matter how you use it, how many times you try, you cannot get an accurate reading from this. This will read out 97.5 when a regular under the arm thermometer will show a 11.5 fever - DANGEROUSLY INACCURATE. I am going to send mine back to the company and request it be recalled.

Spend a few extra bucks and get a Braun. From what I know of Safety1st brand, when it comes to baby care products, nothing lats long - not even their nail clippers.

After using this thermometer several times it became obvious that it gave very inconsistent and inaccurate readings. I'm returning it in favor of a standard oral thermometer and a recta| thermometer.

I bought this product for my seven month old. It has never been accurate even once. I have tried it on her and myself and checked against a mouth or "other" reading and it is never even close. Don't waste your money.

I have tried all different types of thermometers. This one was on the cheap side so I wasn't sure how good it would be. It worked just the same if not better than any expensive ear thermometer. It was incredibly easy to use and gave a quick reading. Both my sons get ear infections so a quick ear reading is important.

My only question is the life of the battery and the cost to replace it. So far so good though...

I would definitely recommend this product.
