i bought it at [...] cause babies only has it online. way cheaper and its great its quiet, i have it on high and humidity all the way up and the water lasted 13 hrs. i like how it has an auto shut off. i put the vicks patch and the air is so fresh in her room.

This is a good product. We had a Crane humidifier that was a waste of money even though it was cheap. The very first time we used this it was like we were in the rain forest with the amount of real humidity it produced. The Crane just sprayed a mist 2 feet in the air. Is it a little loud for my taste, yes. Does it bother my 3 year old, no. Also it does not run all night because it senses the amount of humidity you set it to. As far as the white dust, we had that problem with the Crane, NOT with the Vick's. Use distilled water NOT water from your faucet. Also very easy to clean, will you get mold. Well if you leave water sitting for more than a few days, yes. Just give a quick rinse.

This product is so loud and useless. We got it when our 6 month old got the fever and all it did was keep her up all night because of the noise - we couldn't even sleep through it! Terrible!!

This is the worst product ever! It's LOUD and only ONE setting works...that's if I can even get the thing to turn on. Not reliable AT ALL! It's a waste of money.

I had purchased the graco humidifier for my first born and should have purchased the same one for my second. This humidifier is HORRIBLE and I would never recommend to friend or foe. Please save your money and buy the graco 4.0 gal humidifier. it works so well and never let us down. This Vicks one somehow developed mold and it did not go on all night in my baby's room.

Break out the ear plugs. Even on the low setting this humidifier is very loud. My 4 your old complained when it was on about the noise. It does help with congestion and dry noses. But had too flaws for me to not return it. It leaks, you have to fill it up every night and is way too difficult to clean.

I'm not sure why this product is getting such negative reviews. I find it easy to clean and don't have any other problems... It's a good white noise for my DD. I put it on the lowest setting and it's not too loud. And I don't get any of the white stuff people have mentioned. Maybe I got lucky, but we're totally happy with it!

Although the humidifier still works after 2 months of regular use (though not 7 days a week or 24 hours per day by any means), the humidifier now makes a loud rattle. Plus, the time and expense required to clean it so that it doesn't stink -- think gallons upon gallons of white vinegar, with a vinegar cleaning at least every two or three days -- make it simply not worthwhile.

I figured use a filterless humdifier would be great, but it was impossible to clean. I used it for approximately one month and then I took it back to the store advising that there was no way to clean it and I was not losing out on the money I had spent on it. This was the fourth humidifier I had purchased b/c I honestly cannot find any humidifier that is easy to keep clean!

We bought this product thinking it must be good since it's Vicks (a name we all know) and it costs a lot...well this is a perfect example of price not always reflecting quality. It didn't seem to do very much as far as relieving any ailments(I still couldn't breathe after hours of use), it was big and bulky, and to top it off it sounded like a jet airplane engine in my bedroom! It is definitly by no ones standards even remotly close to being quiet. Buy something else...I did.
