Stopped working after a year. The on/off button does not work any more and the manufacturer is not willing to repair/ replace it. This is a common complaint - don't waste the money.

This video monitoring system is fabulous! You can see baby perfectly clear on the monitors during the day and at night when the room is completely dark. The sound is so sensitive that I can even hear her breathing! I couldn't live without it!

We read the reviews on this system and still believe this is a fantastic monitor. My husband is a fanatic about being able to watch our son on the monitor while he sleeps and this is perfect. Yes, it can get fuzzy but it's only because it runs interference with a clock or telephone. It's really not as bad as people say. And the best part, Summer (the manufacturer) is amazing. Our handheld broke (the picture turned all white) within the first 5 months of using it [...] Their customer service was fantastic and they sent us a completely new system while we sent them our old one. And, a new warranty started on the new system rather than continuing with the old one. We highly recommend this monitoring system.

I am currently shopping for my third video monitor and my daughter is only 11 months old. We had this Summer monitor the longest, for approximately 10 months. One night we went to turn it on after we put her to bed and it simply would not turn on. My dad is an electrician-he took a look and said it had shorted out.We replaced it with another Summer monitor we found on clearance at another store...it wasn't the flat screen version, but it was less expensive, so we bought it. It only lasted 3 weeks before the same thing happened. [...]!Prior to breaking, picture quality was ok, often lots of interference, but nothing you couldn't live with. I would turn sound off at night because of popping and cracking sounds, which was fine, b/c without the hustle and bustle of life going on in the house, I could hear her cry if she needed me.

This is so great- my husband and I's room is on the first floor of our home and our babies is on the second. I love the big monitor it sits right on my night stand so when ever I roll over I can peak in on my little man. The picture is so clear I can see his eyes open and close (the night vision is amazing) The fact that it also has a hand held is great too because we can go all over the house and still see the baby safe in his crib. I know it cost more than the average monitor but this monitor is anything but average- it is the best money I have ever spent!

Hand-held unit works well & gets better reception than the table top monitor. In full daylight with all lights on in the nursery, only black and white images appear on both screens. I am quite disappointed with the clarity of the images. As long as you are within 20 feet or so of the camera you get a clear image, however, any further than that, OR if the signal must travel through more than one wall, the images are very distorted with constant static. Unable to use sound at all with the table top monitor in our bedroom because of the "static noise", humming, and popping noises. Other electronic devices interfere with reception as well (cell phone, alarm clock, cordless phone). If you are wanting clear sound, I would also purchase a sound-only monitor. Would recommend this item for people in a home where the nursery and master bedroom are close - if there is any distance, would perhaps reconsider purchasing this monitoring system.

Do not waste your money... this model is no better than the lower end models other than it has a smaller LCD monitor which really is a piece of junk.
There is a lot of feedback from the audio as well you wont sleep with it on!

The only good thing about this unit is the portable monitor. Picture is much better than the LCD display.

If you purchase this unit you will be spending more than you need for the quality.

FYI.....i shut down all electronics in house when doing my test to make sure there was no interference coming from other devices.

This product has been great. The handheld is so fabulous to have included since our house is large and I can carry it around with me. It's very helpful to have the video aspect.

We had an issue with the flatscreen (sound was constantly fuzzy). I called Summer Infant and they exchanged it for a new one without any hassle.

This product has a terrible range with tons of static. It constantly hums and is next to impossible to sleep while it is on. I would not recommend this product.
