When I first bought the product, I was a bit disappointed and skeptical. I was sold on it in the store because it looks like it had a carrier case. Well, that turned out to be a wrong assumption and it just folds in half... Not very portable.

When I first opened it, I also thought that it didn't do enough. The bear only shines a flashing light and music... Not really what I expected.

BUT, my baby LOVES the playmat. He is now 5 months and has been enjoying it since he was 3 months or a little over. I think it might be the smiling faces... I have had other playmats for my first son that seemed great with all the bells and whistles, but in the end he didn't interact as much.

Whatever - it works for baby and he gives it 4 stars! Oh - and the mirror WILL fall off. You'll have to glue. Yes, it's a pain, but I'd probably buy the same one again.

My baby LOVES this. It is a must for any baby...the bear on top plays music, low or high, and his nose blinks while doing so. You can adjust it so the songs do not play continuously, and you must tap it for it to play the next song. Couldn't live without it!

We registered for this product. We got it, put it together (after undoing about 100 twist ties), then shortly after having it put together the mirror on the sun fell. Luckily our baby wasn't underneath it. It's a cheap plasticy mirror, and won't stay on even after trying spray adhesive. Oh, and the musical bear is very finicky with it's music box!

We bought this product shortly after our baby shower thinking it was adorable since all the other product line precious planet stuff usually is.

Obviously as Dad I'm the designated installer/piece it together/etc of my boys toys. My first problem with this product is that the arms that extend from the top of the center cloud don't stay attached to the the playmat, so when you move it you constantly have to reattach the mat. My Second problem is that aside from a bear that you get whose nose lights up red & a mirror, this playmat has no interactive attention grabbing items.

We used this for a matter of a few days. When he goes over to his grandma's house she has the one listed on here with a giraffe & a hanging monkey & lights that move around the center top piece, as well as the mat has tons of colors for him to focus on, he absolutely loves it. I highly recommend spending a few more dollars for it.

We have this for our four month old and we also have a two year old. He likes to get down on the mat, but because he is a little bigger he was able to quickly break it. The legs aren't flexible at all and break after a few uses. Wasn't worth the money, not much to look at and the pieces all fall apart (the sun mirror keeps falling down)

My son loves the peguin toy, but he doesn't pay any attention to the rest of the toys. His mirror fell off the first time I got it out before I hung it. I stuck it back on and hold it at floor level for him to look at, but that isn't ideal. I like using it mainly because we have a dog who sheds a lot and it keeps the baby clean for floor time. Pretty expensive for that though.

I have not used this product yet because my baby hasn't been born, but as other reviews have stated, the mirror on the sun already came off!! It's still in the box, I have not even opened it and the mirror is at the bottom of the box, not attached to the sun! I bought this gym because it looks interesting and I am going with the Precious Planet theme..I am hoping that I have no other problems with it once the baby comes along and that he can enjoy it as much as possible..after all, that's why we bought it! I'm going to re-attach the mirror with a strong glue..fisher price picked a cheap glue to paste this mirror on to the sun..and that's not safe for a baby at all! I will write another review once we actually use the product..for now i'm giving it 3 stars!

My daughter loves this toy, but it's not as sturdy as I'd like it to be. She's only 4 months old and already when she moves around, the poles come loose from the slots. And, about a week after we got it, the mirror on the sun fell off. Luckily she wasn't in the toy at the time.

When choosing a play gym, we choose this one because the colors were bright, yet calming. My daugher enjoyed the gym, as early as one month old. She seemed to enjoy reaching and grabbing for the swinging toys. The one problem we had was once she started rolling over, she would easily roll off the mat, and seemed to be having more fun with that. We're still looking foward to having sit and play on the fun mat, once she starts sitting on her own.
