It has always been a dream of mine to dress up as Ahsoka Tano from the beloved Star Wars:The Clone Wars. As Halloween was fast approaching I began my annual search for the perfect costume. As if brought upon by fate, I happened to come across a lovely image of an Ahsoka costume. Everything seemed to be falling into place. And thus the quest began! I absolutely had to have this costume. Without it i would suffer a horrible fate far worse than death. After many tearful and painful days of begging and groveling at the feet of my master i finally ordered it. It was MINE! ALL MINE!!! The days felt like weeks. The only thing that kept me alive was the thought that one day soon i would be one with my beloved costume. And then...IT CAME. The box was sitting there waiting to be opened by none other than me, for no one else was worthy of this honor. Slice slice went the scissors as they tore through the cardboard barrier separating me from my one true costume. It was now time for what was supposed to be the greatest moment of my young life. I pulled it out of the box. It seemed to happen in slow motion. The moment of truth was fast approaching dear listeners. And then...I saw it. Oh, the pain! Oh, the horror. My world was crushing down right before my eyes. Was anything real? Has my whole life been a lie? Was this some cruel trick of fate? It was hideous! Disgusting! Vile! I could not believe i had paid for this rubbish. It was a disgrace to every Star Wars treasure that i had ever held dear to my heart. This could not possibly be the lovely costume my eyes had once beheld and longed for. Oh, how i had yearned so deeply for this costume and this is what i get! I then cried out, "Why cruel world, why?!?" I knew what had to be done. I had to burn this filthy garment! It must be destroyed! But in my ruffled rage i wasn't thinking clearly. I had to be stopped. For you see, dear listener, the appropriate response in this situation would be to send this disgrace back to the loathsome place from which it came. Luckily the spirit of Star Wars and all that is good in the world came to my rescue. "Don't burn this costume in your ruffled rage," they said. "Don't turn to the Dark Side," they said. be strong and may the force be with you youngling," they said. And so I had the courage and the strength to follow through on my mission and return the costume. That's all folks. Over and out. And may the force always be with you.
