these sticks are made for KNEE hockey. my boys love them. if you are looking for knee hockey sticks these are it! when my boys aren't on the ice, they are playing knee hockey. perfect for rainy days or play in small areas. we take them along and the boys play in the hotel between real hockey games.

I bought these hockey sticks for my 8 year old nephew who loves hockey so much, he had been playing in the basement with his plastic toy golf clubs. He absolutely loved these hockey sticks because they are curved at the bottom like a real hockey stick. However, the age on the website said these sticks were appropriate up to 13 years old, and be advised that they are not. These sticks are incredibly short. If you play hockey on your knees, which is how they are pictured on the package but not on the website, they are the right height. If you plan on playing while standing up and not doubled-over, these are not the toy for you.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
