I've done daycare for 11 years, so I've had plenty of experience with baby gear. I've had this swing for a few weeks now, and so far, it is fantastic.
I mainly bought this for my 3 month old grandson, I had a cradle swing, which he loved for sleeping, but even in the most upright position, it was still reclined back too far for him to look around at the other kids...that, and my neice just had a baby boy, so I wanted to give that one to her for him. I also got tired of feeding batteries into it.

I love that this runs off the wall plug. It has multiple swing speeds, my grandson weighs around 15 lbs and the lowest speed swings him just fine. Some people confuse swing speed with the swing motion. It's sorta deceiving, the speed is more for the motor, not the motion. If you put a newborn in on the highest speed, it'd flip the baby right out, if you put a 25 lb baby in on the lowest speed, the motor wouldn't be able to move it.
The motor is super quiet, can't even hear it running.

My grandson appears to be very comfy in it, he'll fall asleep for hours in it, even if I shut it off while he's sleeping, he'll stay asleep. He loves music, so that is an added plus. We use the lowest volume and it seems to be just right for him.
I have the seat reclined back as low as it goes, it doesn't lay flat, my neice brought her newborn over, I put him in, he had no problems in it, his head didn't flop to either side, nor did it flop forward, so even though it doesn't lay flat, it's okay for newborns.

I like the mobile too, it gives him something to look at that he can't fling out onto the floor. The mobile doesn't spin as was noted in someone else's review. The description says it 'sways' which it does. I love that the mobile comes down in front of him far enough that he can look at it without craning his head to look upwards, and it swings completely behind the seat when getting him in or out.
The animals are okay, kinda bland looking, They just attach with string, I've been looking for other brightly colored small plush toys to replace them with.

I bought the blue swing, which is more of a pastel turquoise color rather than a true blue, but it's very pretty and will work for either a boy or girl. The little mesh pockets are a good idea, because of where we have the swing located we don't need to use them, but they'd be great for holding a pacifier or tucking a spit rag into.

The only drawback I can see is the tray. It comes completely off the seat so when the baby isn't in it, the tray lays on the floor. Not a big deal, it'd just be nice if it flipped to the side.

I think I'm going to get alot of years out of this swing.

I love this swing. I bought it because it plugs in and will save tons of money on batteries. It is very easy to use. The only thing I dont like is that it does not lay back far enough for newborns.

I have had this swing for 6 months and he loves it! It was purchased for the sole fact that it can be plugged in, without winding. He has been using this swing since he was a newborn. The only noise I heard from the swing was if we put the music on for him, or if the swing wasn't pushed a little for use. I wouldn't recommend taking the child out of the swing without shutting off the swing, or you will hear clicking, and it might break that mechanism. It has two volume settings, or you can leave the music off. Worked well for us, because we live on a busy street. The bear mobile is cute because you can either swing with it or without it. It will move back while taking the baby out when finished. My son stared at it often and now he tries to grab it, so we have to put it back while swinging. lol. All 6 speeds worked for me. The slowest speed was perfect for him when he was a newborn. Now we use a medium to fast speed. We have not used the battery feature, so I have no idea how long that lasts. You can't have the swing very far from the wall as the cord can only take so much, but that didn't bother me. All in all very easy to use. It is very easy to clean. I just took of the cushion and bears on the mobile and threw it in the delicate cycle. I haven't put the cushion in the dryer on low, although it says in their instructions that you can. I just hung to dry overnight and it dries pretty fast. It might pill from the baby sitting in the swing, or maybe washing, but if you have a fabric pill remover it will go right back to new. You can clean the material sides and all pieces with a damp cloth easily. It even has little net baskets for supplies or toys. Love it and would recommend it. You can't beat the price.

This product is a great idea, but not worth it. The mobile doesn't spin and the swing wouldn't work one day out of the box. It was a pain in the butt to get back into the box because I couldn't return it to the store. An overall horrible experience.

This product is wonderful. We just brought our new baby home and he is already in love. We use this product everyday and it makes life a lot more simpler. The first night home Our baby cried for 5 hours straight (no break.) as soon as we put him in this swing instant peace "We Love it". also swing is very light and folds away very easy.

I like the color scheme; it could be for a boy or girl. I haven't used it on baby #3 yet, but my daughters have used it for their dolls and no problems yet. It has a variety of speeds, and the music is very soothing. I don't plan on using this swing until the baby is a little older, though, as it doesn't recline as much as I'd like...... but, I bought it for the plug in factor. Overall, I think it's a great swing for a great price.

A day after we got this out of the box it stopped working completely. I love the idea of a plug, but if it doesn't work it's of no help. We are going to the old standby yard sale portable swing we got for $5 and it works great.

My baby loves her swing. It has nice music that you can set to soft or loud. The speed variations are appropriate and it is amply powered. The fact that the swing can be plugged into wall power is what won me over. I hate buying batteries that end up in the landfill. I would buy this swing again and strongly recommend it to everyone.

This swing has only been out of the box and used for 2 months! This swing has stopped working. There is actually only one speed, not 6 speeds. It has slowly stopped working. Over the past month, it seems as if the speed has gotten slower and slower over time. I am contacting Fisher Price today.

I use the swing to entertain my 3 month old daughter while I get some things done in my home. I love that you have the option of plugging in the swing instead of using batteries. I wish the seat was a bit softer.
