The one the hospital gave us was too big so we got this one to use in the meantime. What a waste! It has no suck power whatsoever. We ended up just making the one we had work.

The picture is misleading....The picture is of the one that is used in the hospital but the product i actually received was a tiny-gray nasal aspirator. I was not satisfied with what i got at all, I was able to bring the one I got at the hospital home after having my baby. It was green and larger than the one i recv'd from BabiesRUs. It has since gotten worn out, so I saw this one. And the picture is the exact same one that I originally had so I ordered it. But when the product arrived it was not the same as the picture.

I bought this product thinking it was the one you get from the hospital since the picture looks exactly like it. It is not the same. It is a little better than the white safety first aspirator. But nothing like the hospital gives you.

This aspirator works as well or better than the other similar bulbs, but you have to be VERY careful with cleaning it. I cut mine open today to discover the entire inside COVERED in black mold! PLEASE be sure to clean with soap and water after every use and exchange for a new bulb every couple of weeks! Honestly, I would recommend buying one of the electric aspirators with a removable cup that allows you to take it apart and clean and disinfect (and then allow to completely dry)!

I love this product. The boogie sucker which was purchased for my baby initally was the American Red Cross one. It's white w/ a grey cap at the top. I found it to be the least effective. I purchased the preemie nasal aspirator and it worked great. This is the prefect gift for any first time moms or moms in general.
