First let me say that in order for the seat to do its job, read the directions! Several people have commented on pieces being loose or flimsy. Each piece locks into place if you read how to lock it!We purchased this chair to use in lieu of restaurant provided highchairs. We previously had just used a cover, but our son has become much too mobile and antsy to sit in one. We have also started feeding finger food and table food so the handy tray is perfect since I don't like him eating off the table. The straps for the chair has worked on all types from the typical wooden, plastic or metal to the upscale parsons in finer dining. You just click it around the back and underneath the chair ( weaving in through rungs if there are any), pull the strap as far as I can and Voila', it stays in place. Our son also is in the habit of leaning over as far as he can to see what is on the floor, under the table, etc. The seat stays in place. That said, the only issue is I worry about him falling out of the seat belt. While it does go around the waist and between the legs I still notice he comes out a bit too far for comfort. Of course that is also the case with just about any product with that type of seat belt, not exclusive to this product. All in all, we have been very happy with this seat. It stays in the car and goes into every eating place with us. We are actually having my Mom buy one for our son for when he visits her.

We picked this out before our first was born, because we knew we didn't want a full-sized high chair taking up room in our dining room, and we wanted the long-term usability and flexibility it offers. We also chose it because we needed to stretch our dollars as far as possible, and this was the least expensive that we found. The things we are happy with are that once it is strapped tightly to a chair, it does seem safe and secure. Our son is 15 months and about 24 pounds and we still have the white legs down on it, and I never question its safety. It's easy to remove from the dining room chair and fold up to take with us, I think this is the best for that purpose (if you're looking for something inexpensive you only need to travel with, I would recommend this for that purpose.) While I am fine with the straps that fasten it to the chair, we do not like the straps that fasten around the waist - they are REALLY hard to adjust. We tightened them to fit him when he first started using it at 6 months, but when they got too small for him at that "setting" we just stopped using them rather than fighting with the straps to loosen them - we never put him in it without the tray anyway, and the tray definitely keeps him in place.I don't like the "cheapness" of the plastic - usually I am against plastic gear and toys anyway, but we had to go with this at the time because of price. As far as plastics go, it's pretty cheap and flimsy. I've since seen other similar chairs for similar prices that are much more durable. At first we did not like the the way that the tray attached to the chair, it was difficult to remove. But with time and use, that is no longer an issue. We are about to have our second and I really don't think I'm going to buy another just like it (even though I would prefer to have matching ones.)So, it gets the job done, and as he grows and we just use it as a booster, I probably won't care anymore about some of the issues. But, if you're still looking, I would continue on!

Good booster for the money

Comments about Babies 'R' Us Safety 1st Sit n Go Booster Seat - Blue:
Over all this is a great booster for my two year old. I like how I can raise it up so he is level with our dining room table. The tray is a little difficult to attach and click on and I don't like how far I have to put it from my two year old in order for it not to squish his crotch. Other than that it's great
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The website is misleading in the fact that they do not have this chair in blue. If you order it in blue they will send you brown.

The tray hits my son's legs and the strap to hold him in doesn't even reach past his thighs. The strap to hold him in is not very flexible and does not do a very good job. Although he was a bigger baby this was supposed to be a grow with you seat and his head is almost above the seat already at 4 months. I am already going to shop for another as my husband and I are very dissatisfied with this one.

About Me Child Care Professional
I love this chair/booster seat. I have been doing daycare for years and now have grandchildren as well so I have used a lot of high chairs over the years. I find most take up way to much room and have way to many nooks and crannies for food to get into the more simple the design the more you will like it because it's easier to clean and I don't know why so many come with cloth seat covers, sure they look nice and yes you can take them off and wash it but why would you want to remove it (which we all know isn't all that easy due to straps and such) when you can wipe this seat off with ease and use it again for the next feeding. It fits great on the chair and doesn't take up much room plus you can use it on the floor so it's great on the go as well. After using many different seats I love this one and the cost is great too.
love this seat!!

We bought this seat for my boyfriend's daughter who at the time was 10mths old and it was perfect!! she is 3 years old now and still uses it till this day and she is a big girl so i dont know how people are saying their kids dont fit in it. since im expecting most likely will be buying another one for the new baby. only thing i can say we didnt like is you should put a pillow behind the backrest so its more comfortable for the child so they can lean back but thats no biggie. we just leave the seat attached to the chair in our dining room so it doesnt take up the space like a normal high chair would.

About Me Grandparent
doubles as a high chair for our granddaughter AND we discovered it is PERFECT when I place it directly on the floor or ground without the tray so she can get up and down and up and down. Doesn't turn over when they are learning to do that. Entertained her for a long time one afternoon!! It doesn't take up NEARLY as much room as a full size high chair.
Not too shabby

We use for feeding at home and on-the-go. I like that it's pretty easy to use, and everything can be wiped clean or washed with a sponge and soap as I do with the removable tray. I am not pleased that the plastic on the tray is starting to turn white in some spots from bending where it snaps to the chair. I have had some trouble with snapping it on, so not quite as easy as I had thought. But so far, it has worked just fine. We haven't had it very long yet, but for our nearly 1 year old daughter, it's good. And soon I'm sure we won't even need the tray and she can eat over the table.

Easy to put togeather, but once its all togeather your not able to pull it apart.I use it everyday and ive had it for almost 6months and im already looking for another one. my 2year old already grew out of it. the tray hits his legs so he can only use it at the table now. do not buy unless you are using as a booster with no tray or very small child.
from Natick Ma
I just bought this seat and put it together and I was extreamly dissapointed with it. the tray doesn't snap on and sits on your baby's legs leaving no room for him/her to grow. The only thing it could be good for is a booster for an older child.
does it's job!

i really don't understand peoples complaints on this product. i got it for my first born when he was one, to get the bulky high chair out of the way. he just turned two and i still love it. yeah, it's not the most amazing quality, but you're only spending [$], what do you expect? i probably wouldn't use it for a baby, but it's perfect for a toddler. we don't even use the tray since he just sits up at the table with us, and it's great. it's easy to use and easy to clean.
