Product Description

Off to the races with K'NEX Education! The K'NEX Forces and Newton's Laws Building Set has been designed for students to investigate a variety of concepts related to forces, energy, and motion. These concepts are fashioned around rigorous STEM content and national standards in science, technology, engineering and math. As students engage in the activities, they will be learning, practicing, and applying integrated process skills. Students will be expected to craft fair test procedures, create meaningful data displays, make reasonable and data supported reports, and analyze their collected data in light of the problem at hand. These are just some of the process skills that students must employ as they use the K'NEX Education Forces, Energy, and Motion Set. Set includes 115 K'NEX parts, along with a Battery, Spring and Fly-wheel motor - enough to build 11 vehicles, one at a time. Supports 1-2 students. Grades 5 - 9. Building instructions and comprehensive teacher's guide aligned to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Standards included. Packaged in a strong storage tub with snap-on lid.

Newtons box of fun!

Comments about K'NEX Education - Force and Newton's Law:

I used this kit in my STEM classroom with my 3rd thru 5th graders. It was perfect for my Energy and Motion unit and they could witness first hand Newtons Laws of Motion. I even used the sail car in my renewable energy unit for wind power. The books are well illustrated and the students love to build with K'nex.

Build Vehicles and Watch Them Go!

By kiddiescorner

from Jamestown, NY

Comments about K'NEX Education - Force and Newton's Law:

This kit is recommended for middle school children age 9+. There are only 115 pieces where children can build 11 vehicles while learning forces, energy and motion. Vehicles were simple to build. Children will build a vehicle of choice and learn how the vehicles move, whether from gravity, fly wheels, spring motors or another way. We built several models and really enjoyed watching how they moved. The spring racers were my kids favorite as had to pull back on them and released to watch them go. Kids will use fans to make some move or rubber bands. Very educational and fun with hours of learning. Teaches children STEM Concepts in an enlightening way. K'NEX even provides a teachers guide with lesson plans and more. Ideal for teachers or homeschool parents.
