Each chair features ladder-back support and can safely holds a child over 100 pounds. This lovely set will turn any bedroom, playroom, or kitchen into a place where your children can safely play games, have a tea party and create arts & crafts projects. Made in Thailand, the table and chairs feature beech wood construction for durability and strength. The non-toxic stains bring out the rich grain of the beech wood. For cleaning, Lipper International recommends you wipe the pieces down with a soft damp cloth and dry immediately to avoid water damage on the wood. Use a mild soap on marks and stains. I bought this for my Granddaughter for Christmas, when we assembled it Christmas eve, 2 of the screws stripped. The legs screw into press board, its poorly made, at this price you would expect something better constructed. We spent a lil more because we wanted something better made, not the case.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    This item was purchased for our 15 month old daughter for Christmas to be used as an activity table. Unfortunately the chairs are too tall for her to use now but it will be great when she is older. She is interested in using it now but it is not safe until she can sit in the chairs by herself.
