This product is awesome! It has great range, clarity, and very reliable. It is streamed over the Internet to iPhone and PC, and it displays great on our big screen, too. Remember to keep it away from other 900 mhz devices and cellphones, as they interfere with all monitors. Also, cordless phones on the same frequency will try to grab the channel as with any device on the same citizen bands. If you are not technically savvy, the Internet piece may not be for you; however, you can still view on the PC. We tried many of these and are so glad we went with this one. Viewing is addictive!

My wife and I registered for this item and received it from a family member. The box made it sound like it was plug and play and could easily connect over the internet. When we opened it up, we found instead that once you get 10 feet from the base, you get nothing but static. For our family to see it over the internet, I would have to sit there and manually accept calls over skype so they can see the baby. When we do this, they say its blurry and can't really see her well at all. I plan on returning this item to the store and get something better. No use in having a baby monitor that you have to stay in front of the baby to get reception! Don't waste your money on this product! Its 900 mhz and just like your old cordless phones, its bad reception and your neighbor can pick up the signal if they want to!

We bought this item specifically for the Internet capability since my husband travels for work. The camera itself has a nice picture & sound, but the Internet portion doesn't work at all. Besides being very difficult to figure out with the directions in the packaging (in a two tech-minded people household), the video flickered so badly we couldn't use this monitor & wouldn't recommend it. Do the research & believe the bad reviews. We wish we would have looked into this item more before we put it on our registry.

Initial setup between the camera and the monitor was really simple. I had multiple issues with static and interference. Channel 1 would mess up my Harmony remotes for my tv's so I was limited to channel 2 only. My biggest issues were poor sound through the WINDVR software when viewing on my home computer as well as poor video when trying to view remotely through SKYPE. I travel and this was a big reason I wanted this setup. You are supposed to be set on NTSC_M video in SKYPE, but it constantly changes back to PAL_D and flickers too much to be even remotely useful. If you download the newset version of SKYPE (an older version is included in the product) this still does not fix the problem. Tech support couldn't help either. I did find that it is possible to share your screen in SKYPE, thus sharing your camera, but this defeats the purpose as you must physically be at your computer to answer the SKYPE call to do that...you might as well use your webcam and have mom or dad hold the baby!!

We decided that the most important attributes that we needed was to have good video and sound quality first and foremost. You just can't really get that with 900Mhz.

The night vision does switch nice and looks good (when there isn't poor static reception). The alarms that can be set for motion or noise near the baby are real sensitive so we had to shut the alarms off.

We ultimately exchanged this unit and went with a 2.4Ghz unit from Summer BestView Handheld and this accomplishes just that. No interference so far and we have 2 computers on a home wireless network (2.4Ghz) and 4 phones, but they are DECT 6.0.

This monitor was awful. I purchased it b/c we live on almost 1 acre and it claims to reach 2000 ft. The picture is crystal clear, when it comes in but rarely worked. It seems to be sensitive to everything which can cause interference (blacberry, internet, microwave). This had an extremely short battery life, maybe 1 hr. The handheld parent unit is bulky and does not have a belt clip (who has a free hand with two kids?) This monitor also made static noises all night and the reception kept going in and out (even though I was in the room right next to my son). This is a waste of money, I returned mine.

I received this as a gift and was able to hook up the camera on my pc without any problems. I also found an iPhone application (ICam) that was able to broadcast the video feeds so my husband can view the video while at work.

The only problem that i had was that the camera broadcasted in black and white at first...so i called the Sassy tech support and they sent me a new camera right away.

Now my family in Asia can also monitor the baby, thanks to this baby monitor!

The set up, according to my daughter, took about an hour and seems to work perfectly. The twins aren't born yet, but so far, we are hopeful to be able to keep an eye on our newest grandchildren from a distance.

I was worried because of all the not so cool reviews on this site, but found it really easy to install and the video looks great! We got ours running in less than 10 mins. Just followed the directions and it worked!

I use this EVERY day and love it! Sound and picture are outstanding. Batteries last a long time (note: the people that complain about the battery life probably leave the screen on all the time instead of just turning it on to take a peak at baby). I havn't set up the web cam part but that really isn't why I got it.
