I thought this sandbox would be great for my 2 toddlers but I was wrong. It's expensive for how small it is and the umbrella is a joke. Also this is the third sandbox I have owned and I never knew that sand could MOLD until now. Everytime it rained the sand was submerged and there were no holes drilled in the bottom so the sand became green and black.

My daughter got this as a gift for her 2nd Birthday. It said ages 2-4, so I thought it would be great. It was adorable and my daughter couldn't wait to play in it. We get it out of the box and I can't believe how small it is. If she was 1 or under, yes this sandbox would be great... but shes a tall, but skinny child and she was way to big for it. her she had to sit indian style in it, she'd only be able to have maybe 2 toys in there. Don't buy if you have more than one child or if they are over 2 years old. Way to small. We took it back and bought the little tykes crab, and I am much happier with it.

It is very cute and it's nice to have a cover for the sandbox to prevent it from becoming the neighborhood litterbox. However, the cover allows rain water in which causes the sand side to become filled with water. If you don't stay on top of draining it, your child is not going to be a very happy camper and your backyard will be the new homebase for West Nile. Not to mention, the umbrella only stands up if it's stabbed into the ground.

This item is the perfect size for my 1 and 2 year old grandkids. The umbrella offers shade which is very important on a sunny day. The sand and water areas are easy for the kids to crawl in and out of.

Bought this for my nephew's first bday! Love it! It's perfect in size and the umbrella helps protect him from the sun! Thought it was sooo cute!

Sometimes you have to rotate the entire thing to get the umbrella to shade your baby. That's not that big of a hassle! It's footprint is large... but not when it's folded. And I know this won't last more than 3 summers with my son. I think the money spent was well worth it. My son plays in it almost daily! I haven't put sand in yet, though. As long as you dump out the pool on a daily basis and shut it, I do not see how there could be such a mess. There is no seal whatsoever when you shut it, which is the only downside. Can't ask for everything!

My son got this for his 1st birthday present and you can't put sand and water because you will then have a sand/water mixture! a Mess! He is now 2 and I think we used it 3 times! I would definetely suggest getting a bigger one w/o the umbrella you may as well put a hat on your kid umbrella barely covers. And it doesn't close right either. I would never have spent my money on this.

My in-laws purchased this for my 9-month-old daughter for Easter. The box says it's for 2+ so we always supervise her while using it. It's the perfect size for an infant to sit in. We only needed 80 pounds of sand to fill it (that's two of the 50-pound bags they sell at home stores). We were able to fill the pool side with 3 buckets of water (standard 5 gallon). This was nice so we could control the temperature. The pool becomes the lid for the sandbox. It's nice because it is a raised lid, so we were able to leave all the toys on top of the sand and it is all covered and protected for the next use.

This is our 2nd season using this product and my 22 month old absolutely loves it. For us, it is a perfect size that fits great on our deck and looks adorable. For those that think it's too small, the bigger the sand box the bigger the mess! We love it and wouldn't change a thing. It's very easy to maintain and keep clean which is what I love about it. Yes, the rain water will get it in but for us it's not a big deal to throw a tarp on it every night with a weight to keep it from blowing away. I feel the people who gave it negative comments are just lazy and looking for these toys to take care of themselves.

We Live in florida thought this would be great it has an unbrella, pool and a sand box. The sand box is useless the pool turns into a cover for the sand box (so they say) the sand box gets wet and bugs and frogs and eveything else gets in it, got tired of changing the sand it is to costly and to much trouble to empty and refill. My granddaughter 18 months old loves sand boxes but was not able to use it so we couldn't use the pool either because she would see the sand box we could not use. If we had the box we would have brought it back not worth the money now we have no pool or sand box.
