The best parts of this product is that it was relatively inexpensive and it is fun for little kids. Now the downsides. Like a previous poster, I also have a 2 and 3 year old (both are about 40 pounds). Many of the components are cheap.

The slide didn't break apart in a week on us, but in a month of light to moderate usage. It cracked laterally all the way across the slide bed about a foot from the bottom. It is a single piece of extruded plastic and relies on the way its moulded to give it strength of shape. Unfortunately, there is insufficient bracing underneath to overcome the thinness of the plastic. The slide is covered under the limited warranty, but unless the replacement part is of better quality I'm expecting the same thing to happen again.

The seesaw swing hangs very crooked which could end up being a safety hazard.

My kids have unscrewed other pieces on the set, causing it to fall apart (they are only 2 and 3 and are able to take some of it apart).

The chains on the seat swings are not the typical welded link stainless steel chain that one would nomally expect but knotted double loop chain in a plastic sleeve. As long as the plastic stays intact, it's safe. However, the chain wire will eventually poke through the plastic sleeve and poke little fingers.

Also included in the kit were a few packets of last minute parts for safety "fixes" -- each with it's own addendum to the instructions. While one can be glad they are included, the fact that the instructions were not reprinted with the included parts does not bode well.

My husband is pretty handy but he remarked several times that the set was frustrating to put together, The instructions were not very clear at times -- especially regarding which screws to use with a specific step. All of the screws and other hardware came in a little compartmentalized container... all jumbled up. Several of the sizes of the bolts differ by 1/8 inch and you have to get the exact correct set of bolts for any given step. Some bolts may work just fine for one step, but then you'll have wrong sized bolts that will not work in another step. His advice should you decide to buy this set: Before you begin dump all the hardware into a bowl and sort it using a ruler. Then mark each set with the step you'll use. See what's left over and add those to the unmarked steps.

All this said, the frame is solid and the kids have fun on the set but I recommend looking elsewhere for a metal swing set.

Was very easy to put together, just follow and match the parts, no issues at all! Great labeling on all the parts! Longer screws provided in the box to change out parts on the Lawn Swing and Air Glider that were updated. I could see the old ones were to short! So no issues there! The plastic on the slide is thin, had a big scratch right out of the box on the top poles! Hope it last several years! This is a gift for my daughters 4th Birthday! Took about 3 hrs for me and my husband to put together! She loves it!

The metal seems flimsy, even with one 35# toddler on it, the horizonal pole flexes when she swings...not sure what will happen when all her friends get on it! The plastic slide flexes when she goes down it too.

Purchased and assembled in about 3 hours easy directions. All pieces were supplied but after 1 year all meal rusted through slide is warped and discolored. The sitting parts are cracked and don't swing freely. Braces are bent and paint is peeling. Would have thought It would have lasted longer. The last swing set lasted 7 years. This set is garbage don't but unless your only looking to replace after 2 year.

I ordered a swing set around July 17th for my granddaughter it was suppose to be for her birthday & when it arrived it was opened in the back of the ups truck and coming out of the box.
I call toyrus.com and I was told they would send me a new one out and a shipping label to pick up the other swing set and I had ten day to get it mailed back to them. I received an e-mail on the 31st of July with an shipping label I was suppose to print out and schedule a pickup, only when I tried to schedule a pickup they wanted my account information for billing. I wasn't going to pay to have it sent back so I had to call toyrus.com again. They finally picked up the old swing set on the 6th of August and I still have not received the new swing set & I haven't heard from anyone about when I might receive it. My husband is telling me to call them and cancel it and we will go somewhere else.

Other reviews said it was hard to put together and the directions weren't good. They could be better but if you have any experience at all you can likely figure it out. we bought this swing set for my 3 year old son as an early birthday present. the directions could have been a little more helpful and the company could have included the anchors for it but didn't. we bought this from toysRus and received it promptly however they do not sell the anchors for it. i had to purchase the anchors seperately from another company. it does take two people to assemble at times. my son absolutely loves the swing set.

i bought this about 4 years ago, was a little difficult to assemble. cemented it into the ground and everything was fine until this year when all the plastic pieces started to crack and fall apart(4 seater glider,2 seater glider and slide) but for the price the kids got 4 years of use.

I'm very disappionted with the quality of this item.It took me over 8 hours to assemble.The screws that attach the see saw to the bracket were too long so I had to get shorter screws to get it to tighten up the the bracket properly. The bolts that attach the glider to the top bracket were too short so I had to get longer ones to attach it. The seats for the glider don't line up properly and the square openings in the seats to hold the bolts in place strip out when you try to tighten up the nut. I just hope it lasts long enough for the Grandkids to get a couple of years of enjoyment out of it.
