As a cosmetician myself, with a deeper complexion, I've never been able to find a foundation that could match my skins tone, undertone, and texture - while, one more tough test- not looking overtly feminine, and full of light reflectors. Most designers and brands offer tones way too deep for me, or their denifition of "tan" is so orange and too warm toned, it stood out on my face like bronzer. I mean, I've serched far as wide, department stores, Botiques , and even mom and pop shops. The next best contending foundation may perform like true match, but is seven times the retail price! Don't waste your hard earned dollars and cents, Loreal delivers a supiour product, that really lives up to its claims. Trust me, i am one of the toughest retail critics, i dont hand out A's to any old bottle of makeup. This liquid foundation, although very thin and pourable, spreads like a second skin, beautifully blurring and camouflaging lines, pores, and imperfections. The finish is so natural, even on camera, up close, and with a full application. I'm N7- Classic tan , sometimes in the summer my skin dips into C6- soft sable. The only negative review I could give, is, the limited shade selection, in Canada. American retailers offer such a wider array of shades with depth for ethnic complexions. In conclusion, though, this product is excellent and exceptional for a drug store offering. A+ !

I think it's every woman's dream to find a foundation that truly matches her skin. I was real excited when I came upon in a magazine a Loreal True Match shade finder with little tabs of all the shades to apply to your face in order to find your best/closest shade. Shade W4 from the finder matched my skin exactly. I will admit I was a bit skeptical that I matched a warm shade because I have always gravitated towards cool shades and was once color analyzed as a cool. Turns out my skepticism was warranted. I purchased this in the W4 (neutral beige). The color turned out to be a bit too light, but worse than that was it gave me a yellowish cast. Yep, way too warm. Needless to say I was disappointed that my True Match turned out to not be. W4 Natural Beige is definitely not my shade.

PERFECT MATCH ESPRESSO is Boss
from Los Angeles
I was on set working today and the color foundations the make-up artists had for dark skin models all had hints of grey, which makes us look a lot less attractive when it goes on, yes I have very dark chocolate skin but why is the darkest foundation every make-up artist carries gray? With people like Lupito N'yongo on the map, there is no excuse for not having the right color for your dark models especially at such an affordable price. This foundation will be in my bag always, it goes on like silk, the coverage is excellent, I actually use it on my body and a different color on my face. Kudos to L'oreal for making this foundation. Only problem, my local drug store carries all colors except this one and I've asked and they still don't carry it. Please help! I'm going to order it online. Thank you L'oreal!
Makes it easy to choose and is really good.

Buying foundation online is more challenging than other types of makeup. I didn't. Not afraid to in this case. What I like among lots more, is that if you're even close you hit with Tru Match. My perfect is is N3 Natural Buff, but if the sky was falling, I know I'd just have to come close because it really does somehow adapt to your skin. It has a seemlessness. Not to mention, it's just good foundation.
Awesome coverage for eye circles
I use this very sparingly with a finished loose powder from Clinique.

I've been a user of this ...
I've been a user of this product for several years, and I absolutely love it. I have a skin tone that was difficult to match. Many department store foundations looked orange on me. I found many foundation brands where my skin tone laid between two of their shades. I though I would have to mix two foundations together for the rest of my life until I found True Match. I don't think I have ever had a foundation that is so natural looking . Occasionally, I use shade W8 but still use the W7 powder when I've had a little more sun. But this brand is the best match I have ever had.

I have very sensitive ...
By Kristen Allen
I have very sensitive skin, so I'm very wary about what I put on my face and very cautious about buying new makeup offline. I've used Cover Girl make up for years because it has always worked for me, but when they started changing their formulas to incorporate the Clean, Sensitive, Outlast, TruBlend, and Matte products I started to have problems. At first I stayed firm to the original brown bottles, but then my face started breaking out more, and I would get a bad burning sensation when ever I put it, and I new I needed to switch to the sensitive, green, bottle. It worked for me for a while, it matched my skin pretty well too, until it started getting harder and harder to find and I didn't want to risk switching brands but I knew eventually it was going to be inevitable. I switched to the Clean/Outlast, blue, bottle and even tried the TruBlend but discovered that even their lightest shades were still to dark for me. I stubbornly stuck with it though because I was afraid to waste money on make up that I couldn't use if my face had a reaction to it. But a few weeks ago I caved and decided it was time to take the risk and try something new. I had known that L'Oreal's true match foundation had the highest selection of any drugstore brand so I decided that I'd do some research and hopefully it would work for me. I had always know that I was Fair to Light skinned, but the under tones were a mystery to me. So I did all the quizzes and tried all the test, and discovered that I'm a neutral tone but when I looked at the neutral shades (online), they still seemed too dark. I was still cautious about ordering any makeup online so of course I went to my local Wal-Mart to hopefully find the right shade for me. I decided on a whim, and also because I had seen reviews and you tube videos where other girls had done this, to buy the W1-Porcelain in the liquid foundation and the N1-Soft Ivory in the True Match Powder. I will agree with some reviewers that it would be nice if this had a pump, but I cleaned off the one from Cover Girl Outlast pump bottle and it fit perfectly on the L'Oreal bottle so that was an easy fix. But other than that I have nothing but great things to say about this foundation. As soon as I got home, I cleaned my face (because I was already wearing make up) and tested it out. I usually do this in the store, but I've been scolded for it quite of few times, and I figured with all the good reviews it had it was worth the risk. After drying my face off I dabbed my pinky in the lid, there was a small bit of makeup built up there from the car ride home, and ran it down my jawline and blended it in. So far so good, no immediate irritation, and it seem to match pretty well. Then I used that same pinky to apply powder in the same area and blend it. Again no immediate reaction, which was definitely a goods sign, plus I couldn't tell there was makeup on my chin. I decided to leave the test spot on for the rest of the day and it stayed for four hours before I got a shower and washed it off, with no reaction during that time period. So I decided to try out the makeup for a week before making my finally decision on it. I will admit it's been about three weeks instead but I have to say that is by far the best makeup I've ever put on my face and I have tried to branch out from Cover Girl before but this is the first time I actually succeeded. I have discovered that when I try out new products (especially on my face), the first day or full application I always seem to have some minor sensitivity (my skin will feel a bit tingly in some areas but no severe reactions like redness or hives or burning sensations which would prompt me to stop using the product all together) to the product but it usually goes away as the day goes on. My first day with the true match was the same and was to be expected, but what I really noticed was that it was so light on my skin, I couldn't even tell it was on. The second thing I noticed was that how well it matched, I was skeptical at first but that first day really sold me and I was glad I got the two different shades. My favorite part about this make up is how little I have to use to get coverage, it's wonderful, and if I need a little more in some areas then I just dab the tiniest bit of product on those areas and blend and I'm good to go. By the end of my test week I knew I had found my new go to make up, I haven't been sensitive to it, except for that first full day, since I purchased it. It's so light and airy, and with the two shades together it matches my skin tone perfectly, you can't even tell I'm wearing it. I don't have to touch up in the middle of the day, which is a big plus for me because I live in a very humid area. I am so happy I made this switch and wish that I had made it sooner. Thank you L'Oreal for such a wonderful product, please don't ever change the formula cause it's perfect just the way it is.

I've had this foundation ...
I've had this foundation for a couple of months and I think it's pretty good. It's not cakey and has good coverage. Love that it as SPF too to protect my skin. Although, it makes my pores appear more obvious without a primer. The color range is nice too and my shade fits my skin perfectly. For the price it's great.
I really love this ...
I really love this foundation. Now that it is summer I am a W6. I just started wearing this a couple of months ago. I was not expecting to be so impressed, but I am. I like how light weight it feels. For the most part it does not look cakey or too much like "makeup face" on me. It evens out my skin tone well. I do have issues if I am sweating too much or in very humid weather outside for a long period of time. Since I live in South Texas that it always very likely. It does not look too great after long periods outside with lots of sweat and humidity. I think it has good buildable coverage. My biggest complaint of all is that there is no pump. It is not a super thick consistency, so it can easily spill out or too much product can be dispensed. I bought a pump from another cosmetics company that fits this bottle. Even if L'oréal were to sell a reusable pump separately, that would be awesome and good for the environment because it would be less waste and still be more convenient. I'll keep using this foundation and reusing the pump I purchased.

been using this ...
been using this foundation for a little over six months, great skin tone match, very natural looking when first applied, however, I have noticed that recently it has started clinging to any dry skin I have which I didn't notice it doing beforehand, possibly just time for a new bottle but other than that excellent foundation
