Whac-A-Mole Arcade Game. Whac-A-Mole is a 1-2 player game in which you watch for the electronic, talking moles to light up and then whack 'em with your mallet! Earn bonus points when you smack the middle mole! Be careful though - you only want to hit the illuminated moles that match your mallet's color. Play against the clock or against a friend. The player who can hit the most moles before time runs out wins!!

Ruth and Elliot Handler and Harold "Matt" Matson launch a new company named Mattel out of a garage workshop in Southern California in 1945. The first Mattel products are picture-frames, but Elliott soon develops a side business in dollhouse furniture made from picture frame scraps. Harold Matson soon sells out to his partner, and, encouraged by the success of the doll furniture, the Handlers turned the company's emphasis to toys. My 3-year-old daughter enjoys this game and hitting the moles. It's not very challenging since each color only lights up on one side of the board (look at the top hats). I was thinking it was going to more similar to the Mole Pop-Up game at the arcades.

PROS:
Good for eye and hand coordination.

CONS:
Not very challenging once they notice that the green and red only lights up on one side.
They don't pop up and down.
Noisy.

Love the game. It's so much fun whomping on the moles. My kids, ages 2 and 4, like it, too. :) It's hilarious how the moles taunt players a little too. And relax, PETA...at least the moles wear hard hats. :) Great for stress relief. It's worth the batteries. Very sturdy game they'll enjoy a long time. Then it's all mine.

This game broke exactly one day after my kids opened it up. One of the moles does not work when you push it. It is a fun game but quality could be much better, considering that the object of the game is to bang and hit the toy.

My 2 yr old and 9 mo old have a ball whacking the moles with the mallets. I know it states the ages are for older kids but this is great for hand/eye coordination, expending some energy and to just let them smack stuff! They have a blast hitting the moles together. It's inexpensive, fun (even for little ones) and seems durable.
