I think the joystick on this model is much better for children to learn control of their motion as opposed to the vsmile which had just buttons. Plus I think it is great that you can use real pictures and make your child a character or include them or family in on the fun right on screen. If the price was just a little lower, I would get one for every baby and toddler in my family and circle of friends. Love it!!!

We bought this for our 27 month old son for Christmas. He loves playing with the console alone but the games are boring. They dont capture his attention for even a second, and this klid loves tv! Ud think he'd like to just watch it? Nope. My son also loves electronics, he can work my laptop and my cell phone along with daddys ipod, but he's bored bored bored with this. ALSO, TRY finding games for it, its next to impossible! The v.smile baby games dont fit and this is an exclusive toysrus product, and "TRU" NEVER has them! GOOD LUCK!

My daughter was just turned to 2, I bought this toy for her birthday. She just love to turn the joystick and press the shape buttons. And she also found interest with watching the things happening on the big TV.

We have the original version of this that I picked up for my daughter when she was an infant. She didn't want anything to do with it then and she doesn't want anything to do with it now at 25 months. She did play with it on the play alone part for a few minutes here and there, but other then that, this was a worthless purchase.

I bought this toy so my son would have something interactive to do inside during the winter, but he won't have anything to do with it. He just doesn't like it. It was easy enought to set up, but the graphics are primitive at best and the noises the key board makes in "play alone" mode make ME wanna hit it with a hammer. I don't recommend it to anyone.
