my 9 month old son LOVES elmo and loves all the songs and noises, and laughs and dances whenever he hears it. we bring these everywhere and he loves these books.

I agree with one of the other reviewers. My son is a HUGE Elmo fan and loves books that make noises. He will pick up a Thomas play a sound book before he will read these. For a 2 year old, the story line is too complicated and the sounds are not captivating enough for him to listen to them minus the book. He was interested in the fact that the strip played without the book for about a day and now he has lost interest. Maybe when he gets older I will pull them out again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Our music strip quit after 2 months of once a week use! I emailed Sesame Street to see about a replacement; their answer was to visit this site and buy the complete set again! Really? Not likely! Our grandson is fond of the musical books but I won't buy a detatchable book like this again and will strongly consider before purchasing another Sesame Street item in the future. I don't mind spending for items that will last an appropriate amount of time but this item isn't it.

My 1 yr old grandson loves these. He'll bring me a book and the sound strip to sing to him. He also loves to carry around the sound strip and push the buttons without a book attached because it still will make noises. Very durable and sturdy. He plays with them all the time.

My daughter threw one of the books off her high chair one time, and after that the music buttons would'nt work!!! I was disappointed! I didn't even have a chance to read them all to her! Most books are made baby and kid proof, these should be too!!
