Product Description

There are times when your child's diet may not be giving him everything he needs. Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol with Iron is the ideal vitamin supplement.

Founded over 100 years ago by Edward Mead Johnson, one of the original founders of Johnson and Johnson, the Mead Johnson company produces more than 70 different products that are distributed in over 50 countries worldwide. Mead Johnson produces baby formula, vitamin and specialty nutritional supplements including Enfamil. Introduced in 1959, Enfamil baby formula has undergone several significant changes since it was invented. Each change brings Enfamil baby formula nutritionally closer to breast milk.

Edward Mead founded Mead Johnson because he wanted to make products to help people live healthier lives. After much research, Edward Mead and his son Lambert discovered a way to manufacture nutrient-rich baby food formula for infants who didnt have access to breast milk. This eventually became Enfamil baby formula.

Mead Johnson's global operations center and U.S. regional office is located in Evansville, Indiana.

Polyvisol with Iron was recommended by our pediatrician for our daughter's mild anemia at age 10 months after she finished breast feeding and was on formula only. We have always mixed it with formula and, now, with milk. Each morning we add it to warmed milk in a sippy cup and she drinks it up without fail. Mild anemia gone since she started the Polyvisol. Never any stomach or digestive problems. No messes by mixing it with fluids. No teeth-staining either. Our daughter has been very healthy, with only two colds in her 3 years.

My toddler takes this easily which I appreciate since he is a very picky eater. However, I went to buy a new bottle today and noticed that it contains carmel colour. Needless to say I did not buy a new bottle and will no longer buy this product. It is completely unnecessary to add artificial colouring to a baby/toddler multi-vit.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

My 3 yr old is autistic and has a limited diet due to her severe sensory issues. I mix this in her morning milk. She doesn't taste a difference and I feel so much better about her getting the nutrients her body needs to grow. I've actually used this since she was an infant. I'm hoping Enfamil will go back to the dropper as the syringe is not convenient. I understand always trying new things to improve and some things do not work out well. This syringe is 1 of them.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

the new dropper is terrible! the previous dropper was extremely convenient and clean. with the new dropper, you run the risk of getting multivitamin on you, which stains, and you must thoroughly clean and dry the new syringe, as well as put it in a very clean place so you do not contaminate the multivitamin when you use the multivitamin again. not worth the trouble anymore. i really wish Enfamil would put back the old dropper.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

I have three kids and have been using these products for 6 years. I had been happy with the vitamins when a dropper was provided. The dropper was easy to store (in the bottle) and keep clean. The new syringe is terrible!!! With thee kids, I now have 9 pieces to keep track of: 3 bottles and 3 2-part syringes. The syringes are also poorly designed! It is harder to get to a 1 mL dose and there is more spillage. I'm also spend a lot of time cleaning the syringes. I have given the new syringes a shot but am calling my pediatrician for another vitamin recommendation. Sorry poly-vi-sol, you lost a loyal customer.

Removal of the built in dropper = BAD!

        By bob

        from staten island, ny

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

The vitamin content is good. But not sure if any thought really went into the product decision of changing the dispenser and getting rid of the built in dropper? Its use is now less efficient and impractical. Next.

I will be finding the old packaging online and stocking up. Once that runs out I won't use this anymore because I can't keep up with and clean a separate tiny syringe. This design is ridiculous.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

I used this product with my daughter who is now 4 until she was old enough to take chewable vitamins per her pediatrician's advice. I am now using it with my 9 month old son and have been since we was about 2 months old. Other than the unpleasant taste we have liked this product. It mixes well with baby milk and food and provides needed nutrition for infants. Now for the cons. I rarely write product reviews but was so dissatisfied with the new syringe dispenser that I felt compelled to do so. As if parents of small children don't already have enough to clean, keep track of and battle with on a daily basis. You have now added this tinny and flimsy syringe to the list. Before the new design it was easy to measure the vitamin with zero spillage. Just screw the cap back on and you were done. Now you end up wasting spilled product and have to wash and keep track of the syringe among vitamin bottles, milk bottles and the loads of other infant products on the kitchen counter. It also seems unsanitary to have the syringe rinsed and set outside the vitamin bottle each day, only to re-dip it back in the bottle at every use. Did the person who designed this "new and improved" product have children? Does Enfamil have a test panel? It seems like they must not or this design never would have passed inspection. FYI, just ask parents next time you think of redesigning a great product. Please bring back the old packaging. It worked great and was oh so convenient. Thank You!

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

PLEASE go back to the dropper! Now I have one more thing to keep track of and wash with the new syringe, and more steps than any mom with a small child needs! There's a greater risk of spills now, and as noted in many reviews, the product stains. You're also going to lose a portion of the product every time you wash it and it's expensive enough as it is. I have been using this product with the dropper for years with no complaint, but this is really frustrating. I would hate to have to find another vitamin solution for my children. Can you ship me a dropper?
