Product Description

There are times when your child's diet may not be giving him everything he needs. Enfamil Poly-Vi-Sol with Iron is the ideal vitamin supplement.

Founded over 100 years ago by Edward Mead Johnson, one of the original founders of Johnson and Johnson, the Mead Johnson company produces more than 70 different products that are distributed in over 50 countries worldwide. Mead Johnson produces baby formula, vitamin and specialty nutritional supplements including Enfamil. Introduced in 1959, Enfamil baby formula has undergone several significant changes since it was invented. Each change brings Enfamil baby formula nutritionally closer to breast milk.

Edward Mead founded Mead Johnson because he wanted to make products to help people live healthier lives. After much research, Edward Mead and his son Lambert discovered a way to manufacture nutrient-rich baby food formula for infants who didnt have access to breast milk. This eventually became Enfamil baby formula.

Mead Johnson's global operations center and U.S. regional office is located in Evansville, Indiana.

Polyvisol with Iron was recommended by our pediatrician for our daughter's mild anemia at age 10 months after she finished breast feeding and was on formula only. We have always mixed it with formula and, now, with milk. Each morning we add it to warmed milk in a sippy cup and she drinks it up without fail. Mild anemia gone since she started the Polyvisol. Never any stomach or digestive problems. No messes by mixing it with fluids. No teeth-staining either. Our daughter has been very healthy, with only two colds in her 3 years.

My toddler takes this easily which I appreciate since he is a very picky eater. However, I went to buy a new bottle today and noticed that it contains carmel colour. Needless to say I did not buy a new bottle and will no longer buy this product. It is completely unnecessary to add artificial colouring to a baby/toddler multi-vit.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

I have a developmentally disabled quadriplegic daughter to whom I have been giving poly vi sol for 17 years. The new syringe is hard to use and has to be rinsed, dried and stored. It is not easier to measure the correct dose with this syringe because it is difficult to get the liquid to come all the way to the top of this long barrel. I have already spilled some of the bottle because of the awkwardness of using the new syringe. It's hard to imagine that this change was really for the benefit of the families who use the product. After all this time, I will be finding a new way to help my daughter be properly nourished. This just makes things too hard.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

I have 21 month old twins and they LOVE getting their morning vitamins (it's a staple in our routine)! We've been using Poly-vi-Sol since they were 1 year old and my mom gave it to me and my sister when we were babies as well!
I've always been VERY happy with this product but now that the packaging has changed, there is no longer a dropper that stays permanently on the bottle...now there is a FLIMSY, CHEAP, Hard-To-Use syringe and I am very UNHAPPY with it.

This product is gross. The only reason I give it to my son is for the nutritional value. If it wasn't so nutritious, I wouldn't bother. It smells terrible, tastes awful, and stains any and every thing.

        Rename "Easy-To-Use" to "Pain-to-Use"

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

The "Easy-To-Use Syringe" should be renamed as "Pain-To-Use"!

We have been using Enfamil for the last 4 years with the eye dropper and the new "Easy-To-Use Syringe" should be renamed to "Pain-To-Use"! I've see some of your responses to other reviews, "easier measuring and dispensing", "more control over amount", and I can definitively tell you NOTHING is easier about the new syringe! If your mission is "to nourish the world's children" you've completely failed with this change, since we will no longer be using your product.

"Thanks" for making my mornings just that little bit harder.

Comments about Mead Johnson Enfamil Poly Vi Sol with Iron Drops:

I want to echo other commenters. The new dropper style is much more difficult to handle and there is no easy way to store it. I greatly prefer the old style. Please bring it back!

Easy-to-use syringe? No! It's messy and it's hard to draw the product up into. Where are we supposed to store it after each dose? The old dropper went right back into the bottle for storage. It's another thing to clean and then leave out to dry. I think the company finds it cheaper to include this flimsy syringe instead of the dropper. Our children deserve better than this!

As a family physician and parent, please tell me this terrible crummy syringe is going away! What a mess I now have all over my pantry shelf. I hate it! The eye dropper was so much easier! I have been everywhere in search of old bottles to no avail. I may have to buy an eye dropper bottle and transfer it, or consider stopping using this. So frustrating. Please bring back the eye dropper!

besides the awful flavor and staining ability, Enfamil got rid of the of eye dropper and put in a syringe. You have to clean it every time. That only increases the chances of dripping it on clothes not to mention something else that you have to clean. Will switch brands until the dropper comes back.

While the syringe included in newer packages is helpful for removing the last few drops out of the bottle, it is a pain to use on a day to day basis. It is flimsy and messy and I really, really hope I can find some older boxes with the eyedroppers somewhere... or better yet, that enfamil will bring the eyedroppers back or maybe have both the eyedroppers and syringes in the box so customers will have an option of which they want to use.

I did some research and decided to give this to my 16.5 month daughter. She can be a good eater but now, most of her food winds up on the floor. The first time I gave it to her she spit it out. The next day, I mixed in with her juice at morning snack and no problems.
