I am using this on my sons toddler bed because I need to protect the mattress but didn't want to order the ones that go on top of the sheet, I wanted something to go between the sheet and the mattress. As far as absorbing urine, drool, sweat it works fine and is easily washed and dried and hasn't lost its shape. I knew when I bought it that it wouldn't cover the whole mattress. However, I didn't anticipate it moving around under. When I change the sheet I always find it has moved a few inches to the side and isn't smooth.

I got these for my son when we began potty training without pull-ups. I was looking for crib mattress covers but came across these pads to help protect the bedding in case of accidents. They work perfectly! My son can completely empty his bladder and not one drop goes through; I can't believe how absorbent they are. They can just go straight into the washing machine and dryer too. I have been using them for over 9 months and they still work very well. Now my son is in a twin size bed so I bought elastic straps that clip on to the pads and the mattress/sheets to hold them in place otherwise they bunch up or move around too much (defeating the purpose). I also like that they are all white (no baby patterns)so they are appropriate for big boys/girls too. I would definitely recommend these for baby, toddler, and preschool-age, especially for bedwetting or potty training use.

So far it's held up to the wear and tear of a two year old, but we'll see if it hold up well after it's been washed a couple of times.

I really like these pads. Our twins each have Ikea cribs, mattresses, and fitted sheets. (LOVE Ikea sheets, btw. So soft.) I bought zip-around vinyl covers to protect each mattress, but then I wanted to put a flat, soft layer between the vinyl cover and the sheet so that my babies would be comfortable and not feel like they were sleeping on plastic. These pads are larger than most -- they cover the main sleeping surface of the mattress. They are quite soft on top, and the protective backing is another layer of protection between my baby and the mattress. They wash up well, too. I only wish they were a little bigger -- the size of a standard crib. Then I could use them when we turn the cribs into toddler beds. We still could use them, but about 1/3 of the boys' bodies wouldn't be on the pad. But these pads are bigger than most, so I am happy!

I first used this pad to let my baby air dry to help clear up a slight diaper rash. After a minute, she started to pee. I was worried that it was going to go through the pad (since it's so thin), but it didn't! I've washed it a few times and it still maintained its absorbing power. It collects little balls after you wash it, but you can just cut them off.

I was looking for a waterproof, soft pad to lay on top of my toddler's bed while we are weaning off of Pull Ups. I initially bought a different brand from Babies R Us that said it was waterproof but turned out not to be. The Carter's quilted pads ARE completely waterproof and large enough to cover half of a toddler bed. They are also very soft to sleep on. It is much easier to change a pee-soaked pad than to have to launder the entire bedding. The only down side is that after several washings, the quilting seems to snag. So far, it has not affected the function of the pad, but I have had to snap the pads back into shape. I will definitely be buying more for the next child.

This washed very well and unlike other waterproof pads, it didn't come out of the wash warped and wrinkled. I bought two so I could have two layers of sheets on the crib with one of these crib pads in between each layer (plus a sheet saver over the very top), so I don't have to change the sheet in the middle of the night (unless both sheets get soiled in one night). Would definitely recommend, and I may actually have to get one more.

My baby girl sometimes sleeps in my bed so I can't use the fitted crib sheet, etc for this. I also just wanted something I could throw down whenever I want to or need something around. Who knows where you're going to lay baby or where she might have a mess? The early days of choosing diapers are precarious to say the least.

I bought one of these as it's one of the least expensive sheets for keeping surfaces dry, before my daughter was born. We've had it for almost three months, and until today she did not have an accident on it so I wasn't sure about how it actually worked.

Today she soaked through her changing table cover mid-diaper change, so I laid her down on this on my bed, to let her air out a little without laying her on her soaked changing table. While she was laying there she peed so much there were PUDDLES all over the sheet... I raced to get something to soak it up for damage control (to protect my sheets beneath it), by the time I got back it was already soaked up... I lifted it up... no pee dripped down it, it had completely soaked up - AND my sheets were 100% dry! I was floored, this crib pad is SO thin and would be very easy to slip under baby's sheets, but it's also soft enough to lay baby right on top of.

I love it! And I don't know about the durabilitiy yet since I've only washed once, but it's so reasonable in price that even if I have to replace it a couple times it won't be breaking the bank. I'm going to buy a couple spares soon!

Washed up very well, fits great (Sealy crib matress), and protects as it ought to.
