The Safety 1st Press n' Plug Protectors are easy for adults to remove and clips to cords for safekeeping. The plug protector covers one electrical socket to deter children from putting sharp objects or fingers in unused electrical outlets. I think these plug covers are great. We installed them when my daughter was 4 months old. She is now 9 months old and has never removed a single one. The only time she really shows any interest at all in the outlets is when one of the covers has been removed...by us..and not replugged after use. Maybe it is because we installed them when she was far too young to notice...rather than adding the plug covers after the child has already discovered the outlets. Honestly, maybe it has to do with your actual outlets because I find them extremely difficult to remove myself. You have to push REALLY HARD on the nub to get it out so I usually resort to jamming my finger nail between the cover and the outlet. I don't see how a child could remove these on their own. They fit VERY snug. Either way, we have been very happy with our purchase.

I bought these outlet cover prior to doing research. When I noticed My 10-month old was playing with a box near the outlet I was relieved to see that I had already put the covers on the outlet. Within 2-minutes I noticed my son had something in his mouth. It was this "safety" cover. I took it away from him but stood by watching to see what he'd do next. He went right back over to the outlet and with no struggle he pulled up the edge with his finger and took the second cover off. DO NOT BUY THIS PARTICULAR COVER. Friends have suggest the clear covers that press flat against the outlet. I am buying them today.

          Although they were never a very snug fit, the more these outlet covers were used the looser they became when plugged into the outlet. My son was able to pull these out around nine months of age. They attracted him to the outlets because pulling them out became a fun game. We replaced them before he was a year old.

          My 11 month old grandson removed the plug insert in ten second.... Isn't that enough to let you know not to trust this product? A product that's easy for parents isn't how we should judge one for kids.

              What a piece of junk. mt 1 year old grandbaby has been pulling these out of the wall for 2 months. The pull tab is a huge design screw up!

                          Works just as good as any others we have tried, hard to get out if you have nails though. I think if you have a kid who is curious enough they will get them out regardless which kind you use. My kiddo never cared to even try, so worked out well for us.

                            I purchased these plugs but the version without the notch on the side to attach to your cables while in use. I wish I bought these instead. These are great, they work just like the other similar plug covers people have been using for years but the middle part that gives you room to easily remove them helps a lot, especially if you have weak finger nails or arthritis. These do the job just great and the price is nice. I installed these in my entire house!

                            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
