These rings are useful and fun for tons of reasons (see other reviews on this page). But if your child is chewing on them (and all babies do!), BEWARE!The six "molded" two-colored rings can be chewed apart and swallowed! The slightly softer plastic on the two-colored rings can be chewed off by a baby who already has some teeth. When I pulled my 11 month-old out of her carseat yesterday, she handed me a ring and smiled...with blue plastic in her mouth. She had chewed off a big piece of the soft plastic. So go through your set and throw away those 6 right now! They are the ones on the bottom row of the product picture on this page. The solid-colored hard plastic rings are not a problem.

The concept is great, but after 1.5 weeks, the rings started to pull apart at the opening of each link. My 3 month old is able to slip them off of each other (causing toys to tumble to the ground when outside). We have nothing heavy on them to cause them to pull like this, so it mystifies me. Another concern of mine is his lip or tongue getting pinched by the all-too-easy-to-pull-apart links :( I really wanted them to work.

Comments about Bright Starts Lots of Links:
My husband picked this out and for such a simple toy my 3 month baby boy loves it. We attach it to everything and he loves grabbing onto it and even chewing on it. It's kind of hard for a teether, just plastic, but these days he's stuffing everything he can into his mouth. I would buy again and I would definitely recommend.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Parent of Two or More Children
I used these rings to hold my kids pacifiers nearby when they were babies. Now, I fasten one end to the headrest extender bar, hang a string down, and it holds the handles of all bags, purses, etc. and keeps them from dumping their contents whenever the car turns or stops.
These are great and a must have for moms. I use them to keep toys from falling on the floor from the car seat.
Use for many things-baby bracelets, hang toys from crib, playpen, make chains
Every Mom needs this on their registry!
This ended up being a "oh, those look like a good idea...let's put them on the registry" addition to our registry, but after someone bought them for us and we introduced them to our little one, I was SO glad we got them! From about a month old, we had them hanging from the car seat handle, and our son loved them! I was surprised at how well he could "play" with them from so early on! And even now at 9 months, he still plays with them hanging from his car seat, and we have them throughout the house in different places he plays! Now we buy them for all our friends having babies too and since we live in Japan, it's great to be able to buy them here too! I just love the bright colors and fun textures to them!!

This type of toy has been popular for years, because kids find it fun! It's great for entertaining the little one, while she/he learns gross motor skills.

Infant's Favorite Toy
By New Mom Mel
from Philadelphia, PA
These links became our infant's favorite toy from 3-4 months old. It was the first toy he played with, once he learned to grab with his hands. I also used the links to strengthen his grip, hand-eye coordination, and exercise his arms by making him pull back while I lightly tugged the link towards myself. I love that each link has a different texture for baby to feel. Plus, they are so portable - we take them everywhere we go.
