To be able to understand why LEGO has been successful for so long, just look to the name. LEGO originally got its name from founder Ole Kirk Christiansen by combining the Danish words "Leg Got" that means play well and later realized that the word LEGO in Latin translates to "I put together". The invention of the LEGO wheel had the same monumental effect in the history of LEGO, making it possible to create cars, trucks and eventually the LEGO train building set that is one of the most successful LEGO sets of all time. Movie tie-ins, such as LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Indiana Jones Adventures and LEGO SpongeBob are some of the most popular sets. The Sci-Fi LEGO Bionicle sets have a huge following, but the number one selling LEGO set of all time is The LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Invention System.

I must say that this is one of the most impressive sets that Lego has ever created(besides the home one Mon calamari star-cruiser set). I'll start with the minifigures. This set has the absolute HIGHEST number of minifigures compared to its price, and most of them are exclusive only to this set, here is a list of them:The 3 ewoks; Paploo, Wicket, and Chief Chirpa, Princess Leia in Endor clothing, two Scout Troopers, and two Rebel commandos, but the ones that aren't exclusive to this set are only found in much more expensive ones and here is a list of them, as well as the other more expensive sets you have to buy to get them: Han Solo(a.k.a Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca are both only found in the dreaded death star set($400) and the Ultimate collectors edition Millennium Falcon set($500) The imperial trooper is also only found in the dreaded death star. The original R2-D2 is great(tired of the Clone wars version) Unfortunately the ewoks have stubby legs and that means you can't bend them but that's O.K. Han Solo and Chewbacca are totally awesome, because this is the cheapest set you can find them in(other than the magnet sets) and lastly, the imperial trooper is rare and is a very exquisite addition to any imperial army. Personally, I would have preferred it if C-3PO were included in this set, but that's fine. Now, onto the vehicles and catapults. First off, the two bikes are awesome and they're not limited to being used only within the star wars universe, they can also be used to help your police force or build your wold racers team or whatever else you want to do with them, but I have one complaint on the bikes, It's kind of hard to get the bikers to hold onto the handles attached to the bikes, and sometimes it can be difficult to remove the minifigures from their bikes, because their feet can get stuck to the seat, but I'll let that slide. The ewok glider is my most favorite part of this set, because you can get a stone to fall out of the back of his glider just like in the movie! Next, The catapults. The catapult works just the way I thought it would and it even has a place to store your ewoks' spear and crossbow weapons when they're not using them. And then there was the AT-ST, as far as I know this is the only set you can get it in and the movable legs function is impressive and works really well, but the interior of he AT-ST should have had controls in it, like in the movie, but the build was very interesting and complex. Now, Finally the bunker. This bunker is very nice and has many features in it, including the sliding door and the build was also very interesting and complex. The exploding wall function is very nice and is easy to reset. I like that there were control panels and tank elements within the bunker it makes it more relative to the movie, but there's one thing wrong about the middle part of the bunker; it should have been built with one medium-sized base-plate instead of a bunch of really small plates. I mean, I get that the color on the outside should be different from the color on the inside but a medium-sized base would be more sturdy and you could always put the different color plates on the inside also, the entire sides of the bunker is controlled by one puny four stud turning element, I question the "structural integrity" of this set because of that design flaw(no wonder why the death star was destroyed so easily). Other than that, this set is just perfect and you should get it before it's gone. jediMasteryoda out!

I love the concept of this set because my son and his friends are always setting up Star Wars battles, and I new this had everything they would need. I was disappointed that the walker can't really walk and the bunker falls apart very easily. I wish there was a way to reinforce the bottom, but still have the swinging sides.

Walker and speeders are easy and good to play with. The Fort has six panels that "flick" off the sides when the "fort is blown-up." This is a bad idea for a lego set. It is already a challenge to build. I needed an extra base plat to keep the pieces together while building. After a second of play, panels and pieces start flying. Next challenge, picking up the pieces and re-assembling the set

I bought this gift for my 10 year-old son who is a Star Wars fan. He loved it the very first moment he unwrapped. The product quality is the one you must expect from Lego and the number of figures it comes with makes it worthy to buy. The catapult really throws things far, the speeders are realistic and the AT-TE is really good. I loved the fact that I bought it [$] off but it is still good value if you get it on the usual pricing. All in all, it was a great buy.

Comments about LEGO Star Wars: The Battle of Endor - Exclusive Anniversary Edition (8038):

This is by far the best episode VI set to date! Not only do you get 3 printed Ewoks that are tones of fun and super adorable, but you also get a TON of other charecters! The build was nice and complex and great to get my teeth into! The AT-AS goes with literally any other STAR WARS set and the speeder bikes are just the right size to swoosh about! The catapult fires suprisingly well and the imperial base is brilliant for stop a motion set. If I had one complaint,it would probably be 'GIVE ME MORE EWOKS!!' but I guess I'm jnust being picky! LOL!
