    Cheap, Fun, gets child's attention. My son now likes to shake it to the music. and then there it goes, right to his mouth. But easy to wash since it's all plastic.

    Only minor problem I saw was that due to either dropping it on the ground too much or being sat on, one of the globe shakes a bit from the bar which can cause problem when washing because water gets in it...but that's about it. As I said
    Fun Good Cheap...if it breaks I can get another one.
    at about 3 month my son was able to really hold it for a period of time, but that was same for other rattles he had.

      I have this rattle in 2 different varieties, this one and an older version. When we bought this, our son was 3 months old, he immediately loved it. He loved it when we would shake it for him, however it was hard for him to grasp until he got a little older. Once he was able to pick up toys on his own the toy was easy for him to hold on to. So I definitely recommend it for a baby 4+ months old. It's a great price for this toy.

        Great rattle, wish I saw it earlier. Bright in color, rattles and has different ways to hold it. My son loves to chew on it as well. We love it and will be buying more of it for gifts. Especially at this price.

                If your baby likes rattles, they'll probalby like this. If your baby likes to chew, well, this isn't the greatest for gumming. My little guy doesn't play with it much because there are better toys to chew on.

                I liked this toy. My nephew had one he played with all the time, and so I requested one on the registry for my son. He played with it all the time when he first learned he could bang things and make noise with them. He loved to shake it. One commenter stated their daughter got frustrated with it because she couldn't get it in her mouth. My son couldn't really do that either but it didn't stop him from trying. Every baby is different. He also loved the different colors. He's close to 1 year in a couple weeks, and he doesn't really play with it except to throw it on the floor with all his other toys. Lol

                Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                  I gave this rattle to my 4month old son today and he love it. The handle is small enough for him to hold and loves the bright colors. He does not like that he cannot get the rattle into his mouth, but he still plays with it and is very fascinated by this toy.
