Our son got this for his Christmas. He is 5 and Autistic. We have had to change the batteries every other day - because he runs it all day. The fact that his dad can change the configuration any time our son wants, and it is simple enough for him to operate himself means hours of entertainment. We have begun adding other sets to his collection and he loves them all. The fact that they are all compatible makes this the perfect toy for our son. Thank you!

My two year old absolutely loves this train set. Grandpa and Grandma got it for him for xmas and it has been his favorite! He loves the whole thing especially the remote.

My son is now 10. We purchased this GeoTrax set for him, plus MANY others starting when he was 3 and continuing until he was 6 or 7. He played with them continually for a few years and then we put them away to save for later. When we pulled them back out again after approximately 2 years of non-use, none of the engines worked. We spent a fortune changing out all of the tiny batteries, but the engines have never worked since. After some research, I found that this is a problem with this particular train set and that our experience was not unique. My husband has Fisher-Price toys from his childhood that all still work - the barn door on the farm still moos! I expected this Fisher-Price toy to be the same caliber but have been sadly disappointed. I now have miles of useless track with no working engines.

This toy kicks butt! Besides the fact that it looks great, is durable (little man and dog have stepped on it many times) its fun! My son has played with for hours and hours he loves every few days picking a new set up in Manuel and having dad change it. He can control all the stuff himself at 3yrs and loves to add his zoo small track from time to time. This toy is set up on carpet (which lots of toys cant do!) and works great! The sound is really nice and not too long and the train itself is not loud at all. I would buy this over and over again and plan to buy more for it in the future! Way to go Fisher price with this one!

I have 2 boys (age 5 and 1) and they both LOVE this! The train works great and was easy to assemble. We actually got this last year for Christmas and they still play with it all the time.

Bought this for my 8 month old grandson. Put it around the Christmas tree and he absolutely loved watching it and could even pull back on the remote to make it go. Put it in a plastic storage tote behind a chair in the family room, (not in an attic or basement) until the next Christmas, put in all new batteries and we get sound but the train will not go. I have followed all of the trouble shooting recommendations in the booklet, and can not make it go. Not that this was the most expensive set, but paying $60 for approximately 1 month of use was certainly not worth it. I have other fisher price items from my own children that my grandchildren are still playing with, so I am very sadden by the quality, or lack of, with this item.

We were very excited about getting this for our two year old on his birthday. He is so excited about his trains, but it is really hard for him to push the trains along the track. They don't stay on very well at all! It claims that the wheels "easily align" but they don't unless you place the train in the ONE area of the track that is pictured where they do easily align, but if he wants to start his train at a differnt part of the track, I need to align the wheels exactly or it won't stay on the track.
Maybe he's just too young, but the box says for ages 2-7, so I figured it would be fine. But it does cause a lot of frustration for him.

I bought this for my SOn for his 3rd Birthday. It is really easy to assemble and he loves it. He plays with it every day. We even bought the pack of extra tracks and scenery. The tracks click together which makes it easier for my 3 year old to play with it since it isnt always seperating. LOVE THIS!!!
