Product Description

Easy to to glide! Kids learn to balance safely, without tears or training wheels on the Go Glider Bike.

Moms and Dads, are you looking for a learning bike that will teach your child to ride without tears, training wheels, frustration, scraped knees and elbows? Then look no further! The Go Glider is a balance bike that teaches children how to balance - the important first step in riding a bike. First kids "walk" the bike by pushing with alternating feet, then lift one foot and then two, until they are confidently gliding and balancing. Glide Bikes are U.S.-designed with mountain bike geometry, giving your child a lower center of gravity for more stability and safer balancing. No pedals or training wheels to get in the way.

Invented by Ed, a father and avid cyclist who saw the need for a learning bike with superior construction and design, the Go Glider has been road tested by Ed's own children to ensure that the product meets all design and quality requirements, and most importantly, that it's fun! The lightweight alloy frame is easy to maneuver and the foot pegs give kids a great way to glide. The quick-release seat clamp makes height adjustments easy, handlebars adjust for proper arm alignment, and the easy-to-use handbrake is sized just right for small hands. There is minimal assembly and all Glide Bikes are covered by a lifetime warranty! Cool "Glide Bikes Kid" graphics adorn the frame and the handlebar cover. Children love to glide so much that they will continue to ride their Go Glider long after they're riding a pedal bike!

Minimal assembly required - instructions and tool included

Comments about Glide Bikes 1012111 16 inch Pink Go Glider Bike:

Our daughter just turned 6 & this was her Birthday gift. She has not 'liked' bikes till this one. We have tried little bikes, bigger bikes, bikes with training wheels, and 3 wheelers, and she would NOT PETTAL/RIDE -- so now, as soon as she jumped on it she GLIDDED, all over the house, she has learned how to use the HAND BRAKE -- Ya!!! She is turning with a great stearing on this and I do think, in time that she will get on a 'normal' bike and ride off just like we all did. She has NO FEAR with this. Great Idea, and cute bike.
We did have to 'dress it up' by buying some streamers, and a girl-ie basket and a little pink bell -- as it's just pink/black. that is the only down side, but that is it. Also and EASY FIX. Love the way it works - just a great idea!

Good for institutions only

Comments about Glide Bikes 1012111 16 inch Pink Go Glider Bike:

This is definitely the way for children to learn to ride a bike. However, if successful, you'd only use it 2 or 3 times before the child is ready for a regular pedal bike. Balance bikes are only appropriate at preschools, private schools, or youth clubs (YMCA) because of its single-function purpose. Most learn-to-ride events around the U.S. and CNDA just remove the pedals and lower the seat all the way down. They set up cones for a slalom on a gentle slope. In most cases kids can make balanced turns in 1/2 to 1hr, then the pedals go on, seat goes to tippy toe position. Done! 1 daughter took 20min, the other 1-1/2hrs to learn this way, but all in a days work. Again, only institutions should buy balance bikes - at home, just remove the pedals (may need a slender 15mm wrench, and remember on 1 pedal turn clockwise to loosen, other pedal counter-clockwise, don't force it.

One Of My Best Purchases Ever

Comments about Glide Bikes 1012111 16 inch Pink Go Glider Bike:

My daughter is 6 1/2 years old and tall for her age. For years we have had hardly any success with training wheels...when we did try at all. Mostly she didn't want to try. I didn't blame her! I still remember how un-fun it was to wobble on training wheels wondering if I was going to be suddenly tipped over.

I bought this Go Glider a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. My daughter is teaching herself to ride. (No more scraping my ankles or breaking my back bending over and pushing her!) She wants to go out nearly every day and practice. She feels confident and excited about it whereas before she was hesitant and fearful. I am amazed.

I cannot say enough positive things about this way of learning how to ride a bike. I will never go back to training wheels again! In fact, I bought a Mini Glider for my almost-3 year old with the same fantastic results.

Comments about Glide Bikes 1012111 16 inch Pink Go Glider Bike:

My Daughter had a bad experience with her training wheels and would not try her bike again. Then I discovered the Go Glider at a friends, she was able to slowly test walking and then gliding until she could drag one foot while balancing. We ordered her one and now she is confidently gliding down the driveway and making s turns effortlessly. She just loves the freedom she gets from her go Glider balance bike. It so light and easy for her to maneuver, its become her favorite thing to do.
