the new mtt well guys a lot of poeple would disagree with me but this one is better than te old one the figures : Obi-wan Kenobi : very nice and sweet figure I really like him just as I always do but what I really like about him is that he finally gets leg-printing ! that's a very nice touch. He's a very nice figure and I think that lego could have said that it's a new figure but they dind't Qui-gon Jinn : really nice as well he is also updated with some new leg printing . I like it when a figure has leg, front and back torso printing it just seems to be complete then Naboo security guard : THE BEST FIGURE OUT OF THE SET OMG. I was very suprised by this figure it is so cool !!!!!!!!!!! awsome printing and an awsome helmet this is a very cool figure. Battle droid : just a regular battle droid really nothing to tell about i think all of you know what a battledroid is battle droid pilot : not very special but cool as well pk-4 : very cool little droid the parts are not new but the combination is is new so I think it's new so that's all of them pretty cool maybe some more battle droids but that's not too much of a complain the set itself when I first saw this I was very excited but when I saw a review on this set and my opinnion changed but when I saw the set here my opinnion changed again I decided to buy one and build it and I was like wow small but with a lot of features : 1 of course it's a troop carrier so it has an transport platform thing (I don't really know it's name) it is smaller than the 2007 one but I'm not gonna compare it to other versions of the MTT you can place 6 droids on it but with an very simple modification you can place 9 on it so it's really cool 2 hidden springloaded missiles cool and they go very far I am not going too much into detail because I think everybody knows how these things work 3 the second platform this is were you are supposed to place your pilot you have too pull down 2 flaps and slide out the platform you can place 1 pilot on it and slide it back in and lift up the flaps 4 the third platform is for the weapons you can place all the weapons on it s that's pretty neat tho 5 the fourth wow a lot of platforms here :) is some sort of station for you PK-4 droid with some tools and a place to stand for him so that's pretty cool 6 the last but not least almost the ENTIRE back opens up and you can place you're STAP ( single trooper aerial platform ) in it so pretty cool so really cool set and I defenitly recommend it pro's : 1 cool mnifigures 2 alot of playability 3 very nic disign 4 good price per piece con's : only one con the area behind the cannons is to open and exsposed so overall very cool set and I hope enjoyed my review give it thumbs up or down - bye bye

The MTT is back for the third time, this version resembling the size of the 2000 release but with some of the features of the 2007 version. The model: Not a bad representation of the Baktoid Armour Workshop Multi-Troop Transport, the colour scheme is okay and it's quite a solid model with some nice features. The droid rack can be moved out using a turn cog on the right side, the front doors opening as you do so. There are opening upper doors to access the command section, some below that housing spring loaded missile launchers and positionable forward laser cannons. The aft section has opening sides for the hover sleds with the PK-4 worker droid with its tools and a gun rack for the Battle Droids inside. The designer seems to have taken a note from the actual Star Wars MTT toy when designing the upper aft section. This flips over and out and reveals a STAP inside which you can fly out - much like the Droid Fightercraft in the toy version. Yes, this is not a patch on the 2007 version, which is considered to be the best version of the MTT to date, but it's not that bad. It is more child friendly, much like the 2015 AAT, and can be built in 45 minutes. There are a couple of stickers and it's ready to go. Given the few stickers there are, surely Lego could've just used printed bricks. Figures: There are 12 figures in this set. Firstly, we have the 7 generic Battle Droids. Nothing spectacular but the good guys need something to take on. Except for the STAP pilot, they all have a blaster rifle. The Navigation Droid is a welcome addition. I like the OOM-Series droids and it's armed with a compact blaster. Next we have the Cybot Galactica PK-4 Worker droid. Not a bad representation and someone has to put the battle droids back together. There is a hammer and a spanner for it to use. The Qui-Gon Jinn figure is nicely done, with good print detailing on the leg section. He comes with cloak and lightsaber. Rather disappointed with the alternate face, one eyebrow is raised. To be honest, you might just as well have left it single face print. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Like Qui-Gon has great print detailing and a slightly more expressive alternate face. Comes with cloak and lightsaber. Lastly, the best figure in the group, the Naboo Security Soldier. Excellent print detailing and the uniform is nicely done. Armed with a blaster, he's a good figure for dioramas. For those who don't want to buy this set just for this figure, you can get it in the 2015 Flash Speeder if you'd prefer. Overall: This set has received a lot of negative press. Yes, it has holes in the front superstructure, the 2007 version is so much better, it's overpriced and there are not enough droids. Alas, this is justified. However, this set is a symptom of a bigger problem with Star Wars Lego as a whole which is re-releases of the same sets over and over with very little improvement. Do we really need another Naboo Fighter, Troop Transporter and Sith Infiltrator again for 2015? No, we don't. Instead of re-treading old ground, why not do something new from the film? There are plenty of options. Overall, the MTT is not a bad kit in itself and if you don't have the previous issues, then this may be the one for you.

    MTT 2014 REVIEW

    By LEGOEXPERTWILL

Comments about LEGO Star Wars™ Trade Federation Multi Troop Transport (75058):

I purchased this set a while ago at the LEGO store when it first came out in the Fall/Winter, and I was pleasantly surprised. Being around 900 pieces for $89.99 US, this places the MTT at around 10 cents per piece, which is usually the ideal price per piece. The set features multiple battle droids which we all know and have at least 100 of, a new variant of the Naboo Security trooper/officer, a new variant of Obi-Wan (Padawan), and a new variant of Qui-Gon (Master). All of the new variants are much improved and are definitely an upgrade to this set. The MTT itself is a dark brown color with grey bits here and there. the deploying mechanism is flawless and the battle droids deploy perfectly. the weapons deploying on the side flaps are decent and the repair speeder is an added bonus. The driving center could be better but does the purpose. the "floating" appearance works well with transparent wheels so it looks like its "gliding across the surface". im not a big fan of the spring loaded shooters, but I would be if I was 6 and I wanted to "play" with the set. Overall, a great return to the Phantom Menace, and I am exited for the new Sith Infiltraitor coming in August of 2015. a 5-star set!!!

This Lego Star Wars set was purchased for my nephew, age 9. He is a Lego aficionado, and is very happy with this. He put it together over 2 days, working on it in the evening, after camp.

My 11 yr. old son requested this set for his birthday. He was so excited to put it together, and he and his 9 yr. old brother played with it for days. He carried it around with him everywhere he went. I know it will break apart eventually, but 1 week in and it's still all together.
