My son loved this. He is a very big fan of Mickey Mouse. Had them a couple months, no problems, wash in dishwasher and comes out great. No scratches or anything. My 18 month old has no problems using this.

I have this set and the paint is not chipping or fadding. I would not scrub it with a rough pad, that would obviously potentially damage it. I wrinse and wash in the dishwasher and they are fine. My kids are obsessed with Mickey Mouse. I tell them the more they eat off their plate or bowl, the faster they will see Mickey! They are very cute and durable, I've had mine for about a year.

The blue around the plate and bowl comes off little by little each time you wash it. It also flakes and is seen inside the food. Must be careful if your toddler accidently consumes this stuff. My mother scrubbed off the blue part in its entirety to avoid it from getting into my daughters food.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
