MY GRANDSON LOVE'S IT!THE COLORS ARE BRIGHT,AND KIDS LOVE BRIGHT COLORS,AND STUFF THAT MOVES.BUT THEY SHOULD CARRY IT IN STORE,BUT THEY DONT.IF YOU ORDER IT MAKE SURE YOU ORDER IT FEW WEEKS BEFORE YOU NEED IT.I NEVER GOT MINE.SO I HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE.AN THEY SENT ME ANOTHER ONE BY FED EX.BUT IT WAS WEEK LATER THAN I WAS SUPPOSE TO GOT IT.BUT IM HAPPY BECAUSE THEY MADE GOOD ON IT BY SENDING ANOTHER ONE.STILL DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED WITH FIRST ONE.BUT AT LEAST I GOT ONE.THANKS TOY R US,AND FED EX.

This is a great idea in theory, however, the mat is SO small. You have to refill the water each time you want to use it because the water gets very cold. My son loves to lay on it, but it won't last long because he is already getting big for it. (13lbs)

I bought this for my then 6 month old for Christmas. Her and her sister both love it and the size is reasonable for the age range it is meant for. Within 2 weeks, the outer edge deflated. Now 6 months later, the seam that holds the water separated overnight and water leaked all over my carpet. I emailed International Playthings about the issues and not only did they call me within an hour, they offered to send me a replacement free of charge. Yes, the issues I had were frustrating, but their customer service more than makes up for it. Would certainly buy their products in the future.

I saw a lot of negative reviews for this item. Ours was fine. It was not difficult to fill, has not leaked, and has not mildewed. I was not disappointed by the size. It is about 18" across. That being said, my son hasn't shown much interest in it but I think he is just too young (3 months).

This is a great product for my five month old son. He never enjoys tummy time, unless he is playing with his water mat. He loves to chew and teeth on the little blow up sun. His little hands just smack and whack at the floating items inside. He even tries to drink the water, which makes for good entertainment for me. Before he gets dinner/lunch in his high chair, I put the water mat on his tray and he is preoccupied while I fix his food.
His little cousins also like to play with it. The three year old sits in the middle of it and cries, "help! help! I'm sinking! I'm sinking!" until the one year old tackles him out of the water.
A trick I used to fill the mat was to "prop" the filler tab open with a non-sharp utensil while I hold it under the faucet. Only fill it 1/2 way and make sure to squeeze all of the air out before capping it off. Also, if you need to dry it, prop the cap open again with the utensil while it dries and it keeps mold from growing inside.
It was overall a great purchase for our little guy. He will actually roll onto his belly to play with this toy... and that is worth every penny!

The fill and play play- mat is really good for babies with helping them discover new things and helping them hold their head up. I used this same kind of mat with my daughter, who is now 20, because she was very delayed with her gross/fine motor skills. one of the best investments I ever purchased!!

This mat was not as hard to fill up as I read in other reviews. Make sure you dont fill it too full. My daughter, 7 months, liked to smack it and move the fish, etc. around, but it didn't capture her attention as long as I thought it would. I think the fact that she can't grasp the items makes it frustrating.
Overall, it is a change of pace for her to play with while allowing her to feel water in a drier way!!! I would recommend it for other parents.

I am a mother of twins who did not like playing on their bellies. After much worry and internet searching, I came across this product. I ordered it when they were two months old, and they loved it from the very beginning. I give this toy much credit for giving my babies a reason to want to play on their tummies. Now that they are 5 months old, they both still enjoy it. I did not have any trouble getting air or water into it, and after three months of play it hasn't sprung a leak. It is smaller than I had thought, but still large enough for both of my babies to play with at the same time.

In theory, this sounds like a great idea. However, in practice, it's useless. I filled it up once (ended up with water all over the floor because it's difficult to get the faucet past the plastic), and as much air as water ended up in the toy. I tried again and same problem, huge air bubble. I dumped as much water out as I could and put it aside for maybe a week. Went back to try to use it again, and already mold had grown inside the toy due to the small amount of water that had remained because it's impossible to drain it completely. I was really excited about this because it was one of the few toys I bought for my son myself (most of his toys are presents), but it literally ended up in the garbage within 2 weeks.
