When I had to go back to work after 4 months maternity leave we switched myddaughterfrom breast milk to formula and that was not easy at all. She would spit up all formulas we tried. Gerber Protect, Gerber Gentle, Enfamil Prisosoobe, earth best sensitive... The pediatrician recommended nutramigeand alimentum but I was not happy giving my baby that kind of formula that looked more like medicine to me, in particular because I know she's not allergic to the milk or lactose since she accepted my breast milk andnever had spit up issues with it. So we found this Similac Senrive for Spit Up (in hhealthy babies as it says in the box, so won't be fit for babies with allergies to lactose or soy). For us it worked great, my daughter stopped spitting up straight away. She stills spits up a bit, but nothing compared with what she used to with other formulas. Only cons, it is really tough to mix it! Wefound the solution with the munchkin formula mixer. .OK it's cheap and very convenient. The combination works well for our needs.

My baby has reflux and it was so bad that at 2 weeks old he was still losing weight and well below birth weight. I started mixing this formula with breastmilk (half and half) and within 3 days and he was back at birth weight. He went from projectile vomiting after every feeding to very occasional small amounts of spit up, nothing more than I would expect from a typical baby. There is the issue of it being difficult to mix which I solved with a $6 dollar formula mixer. Also, it is foamy, but if you mix the bottles ahead of time and stick them in the fridge then the foam will settle before its time to give bottle to baby.

My doughter had very serious problems with digestion since the 1st day she was born.. after a month of birth the doctor suggested to try Similac RS, and since then we have had no problem Thanks God, she is 5months and happy.

I have been mixing two scoops of spit-up formula with one scoop organic and it has greatly reduced his spit-up, which used to be volumous. His spitting up does not bother him at all, it's just messy. I had been using two different kinds of organic formulas because they did not have sugar added. This one does contain sugar, which is the biggest drawback of all Similac formulas but it does reduce the spit-up. I wish Similac or someone made a spit-up formula that was organic and did not have added sugar. In fact, all specialty formulas should be able to be purchased in organic versions with no sugar added.

I was not properly educated on breastfeeding so my adventure in that was short lived. My son started spitting up ALOT and the doctor reccommended the Enfamil A.R. formula. I have heard similac was better so I used this instead and my son is doing much better on it. I do add about a half teaspoon of rice cereal to it because my lil guy has acid reflux. Overall it is a wonderful formula and I would advise anyone to try it, especially if you have a child that spits up a lot!

We initailly went from breast milk, to Similac Advance to this product, Similac Sensitive. What a life saver! Even though our son was not losing weight; the idea of not being able to go anywhere without an additional three to four outfits was unheard of. Before this product he would produce an entire load of laundry in a matter of three days. After day 2 on the product we notice an extreme decrease in the amount of spit up (baby love)! Now he can be fed without a bid if need be and there is no fear of him increasing our dry cleaning bill LOL. We literally had to change clothing to feed this child :). Being a rice starch my concern is the development of allergies in the long run BUT the formulas sits well on his tummy and there are no signs of issues with gas. In terms of pooping, it has decreased but our pediatrician doesn't seem concerned at this point. When he does poop it is not hard so that's a positive as well. He is a happier baby since the switch! I am glad as our next step was organic with is more expensive. In comparison of the label, there was no difference between the vitamin / mineral content and the other brands we used before. I like the plastic containers (BPA free) and the easy to use scoop which comes with the product. The only negative is that the protective foil never comes off correctly. There is a tab but it seems to tear\rip as soon as you begin to pull and the product does nto mix well. A tip would be to add formula AND half of the required water. THEN shake, after mixing well, add the additional water as directed by the label and give it another good shake. The formula will foam at the top so allowing it to settle plays to your benefit.

this product is a life saver!! I started out breastfeeding but my baby was diagnosed with acid reflux, my pediatrician sugested we try this formula. I can honestly say that after the 1st bottle, my baby didnt projectile vomit. Every now and then he will have a little spit up, but it is nothing like it was on the breastmilk. The only con with this product is that if you shake the bottle, it will create alot of foam. My sugestion is that you swirl the bottle instead of shaking it, if there are still clumps, which there is most of the time, I use my formula mixer for about 3 seconds. I am using the AVENT bottles and with my 2 week old infant, he does well with the stage 3 nipples.

I was breastfeeding and was trying to get my baby to take one formula bottle a day. We tried Similac Advanced but she would not accept it and would cry every time I tried to feed it to her. I had to mix it with breastmilk to get her to drink it. She even vomited the formula a few times.
Then my doctor told me to use a sensitive formula and I tried this and she's been happily eating it ever since.
The only problem is that it clogs nipples. I used the Avent 4 nipples (recommended for 6 months+) for my 2 month old. You really should prepare the formula at least 5 minutes in advance so that it mixes well and buy a formula mixer for $5- which eliminates lumps.
I prepare a bunch of bottles and leave them in the fridge which is the best way to make sure there are no clumps blocking the nipple.
And it doesn't stain as much as the Similac Advanced

I bought this formula for my now 3 month old son after I stopped producing breastmilk. I started him off in the hospital before my supply came in with the Similac infant advanced and that worked well also. While he was on bm he would spit up CONSTANTLY everyday going through 3-5 outfits/bibs! After my supply ran out I continued with the infant advanced, but he still spit up constantly. I came across this formula and it has been a LIFESAVER!! My little guy is sleeping better, going through less outfits and just happier. I even tried to go back to the infant advanced the other day and after the first bottle we were into 3 outfits and it just kept getting worse as the day progressed!

I buy it in the powder form as well the liquid by the case. My only concern so far is that my little guy got constipated when he was on it for the first week, but now he has gone every day so I am hoping that continues and he is not in anymore pain!

This formula mixes really well with my Dr. Brown's formula mixer. When I make single bottles I have a minature whisk that I use which works just as well! I have noticed though, if there is a little more formula than what is supposed to be in the formula/water ratio it does tend to stain clothes and is a really dark yellow color!

I have tried several formula's for my son when I stopped breastfeeding, he would spit-up alot after each feeding and it was so fustrating, his Dr.recommended Enfamil A.R. The Enfamil was good, less spitting up but always clogged the nipples and was pricey. I then decided to try the generic formulas made for spitting-up like [...] brands, they both were significantly cheaper but they clogged even more. Similac R.S is a life saver it really works much less spitting-up and is so easy to mix I only wish they made it bigger then 23.4 ounces. (P.S. also adding gas drops really works well for thickened formulas it removes all that foam and helps it pass through the nipple easy).
