Comments about Wonder Forge 1010232 Richard Scarry Busytown Board Game:

My son discovered the existence of this game by seeing an ad for it in the back of one of his Richard Scarry books. He received it for Christmas. It looked like fun from the image on the box, but I like it even more now that we've played with it! It's perfect for kids who are just starting to read and really helps them with game basics--taking turns, counting spaces, confronting challenges--while easing them into the win/loss issue, since everybody who plays wins or loses together. I think I'll be buying other games from this series for my 2 boys (ages 5 and 2). Highly, highly recommended!

Comments about Wonder Forge 1010232 Richard Scarry Busytown Board Game:

My son got this game for Christmas last year. His then 3 year old sister had no problems playing along. Both children love this game and still play it frequently- 11 months later. It does use a good bit of space to play, so we usually play on the floor, but occasionally we will put it on the kitchen table- it is too long for our coffee table. But the size of the game helps make it great for the kids to play. I love that the game is won or lost by every one who is playing. My very competitive son has learned how to be a slightly gracious loser because of the all win or lose part of this game.

Comments about Wonder Forge 1010232 Richard Scarry Busytown Board Game:

Played this with my 3- and 6-year old grandkids. The object is to make it to Picnic Island before the pigs eat all the food. For 6-7 games, none of us made it. The kids got frustrated but each time I explained that the "winning-losing" was not the point and that it was the fun of the journey itself. I also emphasized that we were all on the same time team. Each time one of us reached the ferry to Picnic Island, the kids began to cheer fo their teammates as each got closer to the ferry. I did find that hourglasss that came with the game allowed a frustratingly short period of time to find the objects on the cards, especially for the 3-year old. So I used a kitchen timer instead and that worked better. Overall, the kids loved it and asked to play it over and over.
